Does the quarter final go to a reply if it's a draw? Pretty sure it does.

yep. We'll do them at our place twice this week so no need to worry about it.

I'd go for the Power of Positive Drinking

We're almost definitely going to get a significantly lower turnout for this than the cup game which annoys me to no end, but either way we should get a good atmosphere and hopefully we'll see them off. It's on my Birthday so surely that means something?

Please Villa, Please.

My birthday too! :D

I was thinking back to 20 dec when they beat us when Richardson got an early red. I was quite optimistic then as we'd just started our possession football and thought we'd pick up!

I'd love us to win this as their fans are giving it the big one, but aren't optimistic. If we don't win I think that will be the end for us

Great thread. So far, over the top diatribe, smart alec retorts, the end of the world is nigh and an inexplicable mention of 030303.

Please everyone, man the fuck up.

2-1 win

I do hope none of our players and the manager have decided it's over. I know things look pretty bleak but it's not over. Fight to the end. This is the week it turns

3-1 Villa - Benteke, Sinclair and Delph. We'll then take the momentum into the FA Cup and whack them again.

We don't do any sort of attacking away from home. We just shove men behind the ball and play for a point. The onus and all the pressure is on you to get a result.

We have a few problems ourselves at the moment with Brown Ideye and Saido Berahino both picking up injuries - that leaves us with the permanent injured Victor Anichebe.

Really looking forward to the game however - we have a great chance to beat you three times in one season which would be nice but the Albion way is a whole heap of disappointment so I wouldn't be surprised to see you win both fixtures.

We're due a win; we were unfortunate not to get a point against Newcastle in my opinion, and if the scoreline was reversed I don't think Newcastle could have many complaints.

But therein lies the issue. We're unlucky, as well as being a poor side.

That's correct Stu but doesn't make the feeling of defeat any easier to accept. However what we did see was a much better performance and so again a bit more to build on. The Stoke loss really hurt because even a point there makes such a difference to confidence. This week is enormous now and we have to come out of it positively. It will shape the balance of the season.

If I was a Baggies fan Liam id be extremely disappointed if Pulis played for a 0 0.  We're brittle and there for the taking.

That was a big turning point of the season for me.

We weren't great but had I think 9 points from 5 games so a bit of momentum and I doubt we'd have lost at WBA with 11 players.

That red and then losing has sadly sent us on another downward spiral that dosen't look stopping this time.

I am disappointed. I detest the approach.

Granted we've got points but its so appalling to watch
