I still think Dave summed it up perfectly when he described Sherwood as "slightly dopey". As a Guardian journalist commented about an unlamented England manager, " he opens his mouth and anything can come out".

The only slight worry I have about sacking him is we could appoint an absolute ****** as replacement. When I saw someone suggest that complete bastard Pearson a shudder went down my spine.

That's the sort of prick we'd probably end up with.

His comments about not struggling were before Delph, Benteke and Cleverley buggered off so were understandable, if a little naive, at the time.

We are at that all to familiar stage were people have decided against the manager whereby everything he says and does is picked apart to the nth degree in order to traduce him further. All the Cockney stuff is particularly embarrassing, it's the equivalent of calling Fat Sam a Brummie.

A mate of mine who lives in Bournemouth says the talk of the town is that Eddie Howe signed a new contract today cos Villa have made an enquiry and they are seeking maximum compensation. Probably absolute bollocks but just saying what I was told

There's no way we would make an enquiry when Sherwood is still the manager. it would be headline news. It would club to agent to see if there was any interest before anything else.

Probably bollocks, but Howe would have been a good move.

Actually, thinking about it a bit more, a bad move all round. We need somebody that has extensive experience of managing at the top level. Someone big enough to take the club on by giving it the kick up the arse it needs!

Pat Murphy has made him look like a right fucking Thick Bastard.
Any links

5live tonight 7:35ish. Get it on iPlayer.
I don't think it was that bad. Sherwood doesn't stop to think about his answers though. He answers everything in an instant with cliches and generic speak , his mouths runs off with his brain lagging behind.

A bad move for both.  If we are going to replace Sherwood and I still have my doubts as to a) whether I want him gone now and b) whether the custodians have the stomach for it I do not want another 'is good at certain level clubs' experiment given the predicament we are in.  Lambert didn't work out, and I don't think Howe did too well at Burnley did he.

Pearson is a massive tw*t and shouldn't get another job in the league let alone at a club of our stature, I honestly think him coming to Villa would be the final straw for me and I'd just give up on the sport.

I would absolutely love Pearson to get the Newcastle job if McLaren went just to see the meltdown up there.

If ever a post was made just for the sake of it, that was it.
