Quote from: PeterWithe on October 04, 2015, 10:57:47 AMThe answer is to get the players proper jobs as well as their part time occupation with Villa, think how much fitter say, Westwood would be if he had forty hours working in a chip shop under his belt as well. I wonder why no one has thought of it before.I wouldn't trust him to get the chips in the fryer properly.

...lets get Rowett.<runs away and hides>
Very early days but I reckon Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank could turn out to be a decent manager, done great stuff at Burton.

Quote from: Walmley_Villa on October 04, 2015, 04:01:09 PMWho at Watford searches out their managers as they have had a few decent one recently. The Boro manager (former Real Madrid player) hasa lot of potential. Far from a flawless source, but apparently we had the chance to appoint Flores when we decided that McLeish would be a better option.Quote...a friend said: "Quique was very optimistic about achieving his targets and felt he was extremely confident of attracting top La Liga stars to join him at Villa."Those players could have included rejuvenated former Arsenal striker Jose Antonio Reyes, who revelled under Sanchez Flores at both Benfica and Atletico.Despite Sanchez Flores' interest and his reputation as a persuasive and intelligent technical coach, Villa owner Randy Lerner switched targets to McLeish, sparking a hugely negative response among the Villa supporters.Sanchez Flores is still prepared to listen if fan power forces Villa to come calling again. The friend added: "Quique wants the job and wants to come to England."He feels that he and Pako would make a really good team at a club with great potential and is not fussed about where he will have been on their initial preference list."
