You'd like to think we have scouts who will be looking for players rather than just the manager, as well as Fox and/or a DoF playing a big role in the type of players we sign. So not going down the Gregory/MON route of predictable milk bottle players.

I see Stuart Pearce in a gilet and with half an eye on the cameras when I see Sherwood. A lot of talk of passion, bet there are Coldplay lyrics start appearing on the walls of the dressing room and in the tunnel before the start of next season.

I think he's a spoofer. Whether he's a lucky one or not, time will tell.

...we've already got Benteke's and Okore on contract.
Oh, well we don't need to bother signing players like them ever again then.

I didn't say that did I, but those two arn't walking outthe door in the summer unless we either;

A) Get an offer too good to refuse or

B) Get relegated.

IF we start to fulfill our potential as a club under new ownership we won't need to find these players again as they'll resign new contracts.

I know, it's nearly 9pm here and I've been on the terps.

Personally I think that's exactly what we'll be doing.

Like I say, it could be completely unfounded. But it's what I'm expecting - I'll stick my neck out now and say that at least 50% of our signings this summer will come from either Spurs or from the three relegated sides.

I think it'll be similar. There will be 2-3 players who have a reputation. Players he'll know. Whether they're from Spurs, who knows.
I also think he might buy bring in a couple of championship players perhaps.
I don't think he'll hit overseas as much as Lambert.

Presumably Caulker came through the Spurs youth when he was there - if QPR go then I'd expect him to be our Vlaar replacement.

He needs to stop making changes for the sake of it. Dropping Okore and Lowton for Vlaar and Richardson was a big mistake last night and I'm certain it cost us the game. If a player is playing well don't drop them for another player especially if that player isn't fully fit.

Probably.
I wouldn't mind Dembele from Spurs, but he seems more capable of holding down a place these days. I honestly can't remember if Sherwood rated him at Spurs.

We really missed Okores pace at the back. There were a couple of times Vlaar got beaten to the ball by Zamora. I felt Zamora won the battle overall again.

I'm guessing Okore was rested because of that knock he had and it was decided 2 games in 4 days were too much.

Most likely. I think he needs to come in against Spurs though. They'll roast Vlaar.

If he can just get it through to the Premier League garage in May I look forward to seeing how he drives it next season.
My concern is the players that he is going to bring in. Adebayor and Townsend are surely nailed on, just as it was inevitable that O'Neill would sign Heskey and Lambert would sign Holt at some point.

Adebayor would be a bad idea. Townsend I wouldn't be too unhappy with though.

Let's hope he goes for the dream signing of Villa though.
