I'm more concerned with Sherwood's tactics than I am with Vlaar.
Rarely can a player's importance to a side have drifted so much in a single season. It feels as though losing him in the summer would have been a nightmare scenario. Now, and despite the season we have had, we'll hardly notice he's gone.

If we'd pressed like we did against the Baggies we'd have given Swansea less time on the ball. Trouble was, Zog didn't seem interested in doing that.

Swansea are considerably better than the Bitters, true, and their midfielders actually move off the ball and - shock horror - pass the ball to each other, whereas Pulis' midfielders are always like Ronnie Corbett in that sketch with Barker and Cleese: 'I get a terrible pain in the back of my neck...'
If he can just get it through to the Premier League garage in May I look forward to seeing how he drives it next season.

Adebayor and Townsend are surely nailed on, just as it was inevitable that O'Neill would sign Heskey and Lambert would sign Holt at some point. It could be completely unfounded, but I don't see him being the type to go and find a Benteke in the Jupiler League or the next Okore in the Superliga.
...we've already got Benteke's and Okore on contract.
