away games would be great, home games a drag. If we were promised an immediate return I'd go for it.

What fun would there be in being relegated? Not for me. Not much fun at the moment, either, but would prefer to stay in the PL and hopefully the (semi)-good times will return once Lambert has either gone or sorted things out.

There is no positive to going down. None.

What a stupid thread. More fun beating Fulham than not beating Wet Spam? Crazy talk.

Seriously, no. Never to relegation. Under any circumstances.

Weren't we all talking the other day about choosing between winning the Cup and getting relegated?

It might be fun the first year, its what happens after that.

I totally agree. Relegation is exactly the same as marriage. ;)

For the club it would be a nightmare and in the long term I'll regret saying this but the question is would it be more fun, for me yes, I rarely go to home games, I'm hoping as my son gets older to change that, and away games have always been more fun but even those are getting me down now. The occasion before and after is always a buzz but the games have been getting worse for the last 4/5 years. I'm sick of expecting to lose every game, if there was, at least, the possibility of a win I'd be happy and that is not going to be happening anytime soon, especially with the club being run like it is.

For me its about the day out and the possibility of being happy, half of that isn't happening at the moment and I can't see when that'll change. I'll always go and watch them but if this is whats its going to be like every year in the premiership I'd rather try something different.

What makes you think it would be any better in the Championship?

We're currently at the bottom of every shitlist in Europe if not the world, how could it be any worse.

Only those who havn't experienced it could imagine it could be fun, i tell you now its not. What gives anyone the impression that we woulod come staicht back up with our recent history against lower league clubs. LAMBERT OUT.

We would be relegated again to the 'third tier'.
Then we could enjoy visiting Notts County, Walsall .. hang on we've done that.

We haven't been relegated in my lifetime, and not something I ever want to see happen, Villa are too big a club to be fucking about in Division 2.

However, if we do go down it might get the people who run the club to take their head out of the sand. It would also probably mean I get a season ticket for the first time since 2011 and start seeing more away games.

No.  It would be shit.

We'd lose the few decent players we have, and be left with the dregs.

We'd have even less chance of finding a rich/decent new owner.

We'd lose any remaining status and prestige we already have.

We won't win the FA Cup next year.

There's no guarantee we'd come back up.

Loss of momentum, if we did come back up we'd have to shell out on a new squad.

We'd have to play Blues again.

I fear they'd dig even deeper. Ashamed and finally defeated Lerner would sell for a cut rate, sell off the few quality players that remain and leave us for dead.

No sweat off Randy's spineless back.

It's not exactly rational, but the thought of a Villa shirt with the player name and number in that crappy font they use down there makes me shudder a bit.

It's horrid isn't it? I always think to myself how cheap it looks when I see it. It may not be rational but it's a valid concern.
