Is there no voice that can talk to the club about bringing in some help, We are on an express train to relegation with this twat in charge.
Who has the credibility to talk to the club and have positive discussions to suggest change.
I don't think it would make any difference.  If it requires someone to come in and explain to them just how bad things are because they can't see it for themselves then there really is no hope.

If Lambert's bosses look at this situation and think doing nothing is not only a sensible option but also that it is the best option, and furthermore that the club is headed in the right direction, then there is such a state of denial at the club that it's beyond any outside party's ability to help.

Still a very strange one saying, "have a 4 yr contract Lambert".

where to from here ?
We can all hurl insults and barbs at what has to be the mot clueless manager we have ever had, and by golly I have seen some fucking useless ones.
Through either stubbornness or stupidity Management seem to be intent on backing him.
Mass fan demonstrations seem out of favour, he needs help in the short term and sacking in the medium.

your thoughts please.

The club, or rather senior management at the club, are under no illusions as to the manager's popularity. On the one hand I'm glad they aren't influenced by public opinion, on the other I wish that just once they would be.

February 19th - AV Supporter's Trust AGM at VP with a Q&A session with Fox T
I'm on bloody holiday or I would be there however I don't think there will be much pressure put on him as these things tend to be very "reasonable" in nature

Forget us having any effect - we don't matter

Realistically, we haven't mattered since 1979.

Yes we do. We bring the money. Advertisers & sponsors  & ticketing companies & TV stations & even the little samosa shop on Trinity Road are only interested in consumers.

Were the lads out in London last night ? That's a genuine question. They looked tired , hungover and half cut. As they did on the Sunday of the 0-8 in London .
I saw some of the technical staff in the bar at about 12 / 1230am that Sunday morning , none of the players though I have to say but they may or may not have been elsewhere ?

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert on Sky Sports: "For 65 minutes or so we were in the game. We had a great chance at the end of the first half and I thought Christian [Benteke] should have score after half-time. The goals after that were very poor from our point of view. The reaction to the goals was poor.
"It is difficult, when you don't score you don't win games. You have to keep working hard in training and hopefully it turns around. We had chances to score but you have to take them. We have to keep our confidence up. We came into this with confidence.
"We have definitely got enough [to stay up]. If we can do one or two more [signings] then we will try. It is not easy to bring people in but if we can we will. I am looking for anybody who can improve the side."

Hopefully it turns round

I believe that the reason why Lambert has  not been sacked is because Lerner thinks he is the best man to lead us out of the championship

I could understand that if we were actually in the Championship but I'd have thought that we should be more concerned about having the best man to keep us in the Premiership.

I guess I'm all for Lambert going but I'm dead scared in who the fool at the top would bring in.

Frankly I think Joey Essex would do a better job.
I'd take Joey Deakin.

that has cheered me up thanks

Christ I hate the sight of his fat, idiotic face.  What on earth is the imbecile mumbling about about?  "In it for 65 minutes" my arse, we were 3-0 down by then.  His lies and inadequacy for the job get worse with every passing week.

What we have learned in the last month is that we can score goals against championship teams.
That has to be a positive for next season. surely.......yes ?

Depends if they play a full strength team

We scraped past league 1 bound Blackpool with an 88th min solitary goal
Then scraped past Bournemouth reserves .

If Mourinho cant end his Villa Park hoodoo against this shower, he should hand his coaching badges back to UEFA
