I couldn't be arsed to boo. When the the final whistle went, I just turned and walked out the ground.

I booed like fuck two years ago at the New Den, gave the players all sort of stick and much good t did, the useless ****** is still here. I save my voice so I can sing along to my iPod on another 200 mile journey north after a defeat.

Chico and I were chatting to an Arsenal fan  in the pub after the game and he claimed to have a Tamworth mate who is friends with Sid. Allegedly, according to Sid, the players are demoralised and not playing for Lambert but looking for a contract elsewhere.

What most surprised me about this was that an Arsenal fan could  be bothered to listen to Villa rumours.

Somebody obviously didn't tell Delph about this plan. He'll be bloody livid when he finds out.

We made that point too. But it was rightly pointed out that it just means he earns more for a while and when he leaves he gets another salary increase and we get a higher fee because he is tied down for 4 years.

I would of left after the fourth but I hung on just in case Villa scored. However, after the fifth, I just shrugged my shoulders, said goodbye to the people next to me and wandered out.

That's me on the right. And that's about as happy as I looked all afternoon.
The only consolation is I can get home from the library in 45 minutes. Credit to those who've still got hours left.
You do appreciate there are 3 people on the right of that picture, so I'm none the wiser as to your identity! Mind you, they all look fucking miserable (and with good cause).
I believe it is time our masters in (not so much) charge finally admit our current manager has to be replaced.

When Sky showed a few Villa fans still there just after the final whistle they appeared to be applauding.  I can understand people not booing - or not being bothered to boo - but applaud?  What's that about?

I was caught on screen at the end too...

The clapping was to the 3 players I saw that bothered to acknowledge the fans, Delph, Hutton and Guzan.

Wonder if Okore has framed Cazorla's shirt yet and got it on his wall .
Probably been sat starry eyed stairing at it all afternoon .

Before half time, the commentators I heard were strongly critiquing our tactics, Lambet  to change things at half time.
After half time they accepted that a change in approach if not immediatly a change in personel could work.
What they could not understand was that on such a cold day,  why was nobody warming up to put some pressure on the 11 on the pitch.
When Westwood came on, the one guy said, " another midfield player from the Villa conveyer belt that is, tidy but has no great impact in going forward or defending "

Playing a pressing game v Arse is a high-risk strategy at the best of times.

I think we would have done better to defend deep and look to break at pace.

Like we did last year!!!

Perhaps we should re-appoint the tactical wizard who was in charge that day and get rid of his useless twin brother who currently occupies the dug-out.
