What exactly are we working on in training... Guzan passing backwards to full backs was the only obvious thing I've seen us do that would have been worked on in training, because it clearly isn't practicing taking corners... or our set up at defending corners ready for a quick break or taking throw-ins or even running off the ball so you are in front of the player in possession...

That's me on the right. And that's about as happy as I looked all afternoon.
The only consolation is I can get home from the library in 45 minutes. Credit to those who've still got hours left.

He's managing our unreasonable expectations.I'm currently watching Southampton attempt to consolidate their top four position and reign in my unreasonable expectation that Villa should be aspiring to that type of thing

After the comparison in fortunes to us in last five years the last two teams I want to watch are Southampton and Swansea.

I left 3 down and have just got back, has the wise one spoken yet?

My 5 year old son just said, "why can't they just get one goal"

No goals scored; another thumping defeat - Lerner is totally useless and needs to act, fast. I can see us doing a Wolves and dropping straight into League one.

From the suicidal 3 at the back, continuing to attack when 3-0 down at Chelsea, to today's embarrassment, Lambert's as tactically inept today as he was 2 years ago.

I suppose we might have had the 'only a lunatic would setup a team like that to play Arsenal' element of surprise.

It isn't going to get any better anytime soon.

Strange honesty from Lambert there ;-)

This should be burnt on the training ground gates (or Lambert's forehead).

I really thought Koeman would be poor and Soton would be where we are now. How wrong I was. A combination of a great youth set up and a foreign scouting network has meant thye are miles ahead of us.

In fact I can see us collapsing down the league like they did
