Interesting that Westwood played almost the killer ball through last night.  I thought Gil actually wasted some decent positions last night.

Like the rest of them I think he added a bit of steel to his game last night and worked harder than I thought he was capable of. That is what Jack needs to match if he wants the shirt.

Did OK last night in terms of keeping possession and moving the ball around.    But being critical, he doesn't produce nearly enough which I don't think it's solely down to lack of movement in front of him, it's more down to his general creativity,  lack of pace and touch.

He might be able to do a job for now, but sooner or later (ideally sooner) Grealish has to take his place.

Gill should on the 'get rid' list as ultimately he's not good enough.

Get rid of Gil? I despair at these type of comments.

Me too......the guy is skillful, can beat players and put it in the net...Beef the guy up, a little bit of coaching and what Dave said, get the players around showing more movement and we have a big asset.

You don't agree, fair enough.  But why despair?

He's not good enough and never will be for the reasons I've cited.  He lacks vision, touch and pace.  He's one of the (many) players who got better the more he didn't play.

Come back in a few months, years whenever and show me I'm wrong .....

I can't make my mind up about Gil. I thought he had a really good game last night but there have been other games where he's gone missing. I wouldn't be selling him though.

I agree. For now though, he has to play.

Gil don't lack vision it's just that there are no players making forward runs to ping it to

May be not the quickest. But lacks touch and vision? Really? Those are 2 of his strongest points.

Grealish has done absolutely nothing this season to be anywhere near the side. He may eventually get there but I think it will be at another club.

I'd have Gil over Grealish in a heartbeat right now. First name on my sheet.

When Gil gets the ball we need a midfielder  running from deep for his pass that will at worst draw away defenders and at best Gil picks him with one of his chips  for a goal.

I don't think Gil is a wide player. I like him more playing in the hole behind the front players.

In the hole you say...
