Why is it so difficult to accept that Sherwood has shit for brains? 99% loved MON and he was probabably the coach that least understood anything about football.

Let's be honest, we don't give a shit about the (toxic) product, providing we are Top 6, no matter how ugly.

We love to be fed shit. 150m whatever..

Bring back MON, he was our saviour..

Fickle? Try head in the sand..

Have it from a good source that his attitude is all wrong. Not a team player off the pitch at all. Sherwood clocked it and bombed him out. The stories I have heard, you wouldn't want him around a squad that needed to pull together, as we did at the end of last season.

You have to trust Sherwood that if he'd rather play The Zog than give Gil a chance, it must be pretty bad.

Excuse me if I call it as I see it. Sherwood is (a) shortsighted (twat) if  he can't seee the talent of Gil.

Perhaps he prefers Grealish. It's his neck on the block.

That's a bit strong. Gil looked like he had some talent, but given how Sherwood turned us around and what he did with Grealish I think you're going well over the top.

Given his end of season form I don't think too many could disagree with that.

It's the whole 'being behind N'Zogbia, Cole and Weimann' bit that I take issue with.

Wasn't one of his kids very ill? Or his wife? That's enough to affect anyone's performance at work

His wife had a bit of a rough time while she was pregnant but 'sources' said that the problem was that he expected 24 hour attention and you just don't get that at Villa.

Certainly not under Ellis.

I imagine it would have been different under Lerner, who for all his shortcomings seems a caring and sympathetic person who would also want to support an expensive asset.

N'Zogbia is a different player to both of them.

I understand Cole for Grealish, as I anticipate he's a good influence. Weimann's days are numbered, as I would imagine N'Zogbia's would be if we could find a buyer.

There have been five names mentioned; Gil, Grealish, N'Zogbia, Weimann and Cole. If any of them other than Grealish are still here as we kick off in August 2016, I'd be shocked.

I fully agree with your final sentence, I can't see any of those other four being here. But based on what he's shown so far, I'd much rather we were kicking off in August 2016 with both Grealish and Gil rather than pushing him out of the club for seemingly no reason.

As for N'Zogbia being a different player, I quite agree - he's far inferior. Even his brief upturn in form under Sherwood wasn't as good as Gil showed at times under Lambert. In the final few games, we might as well have been playing with ten men.

I'm not arguing that N'Zogbia has been anything other than a huge let down, but he's a more direct sort of player than Gil.

Gil should have been on the bench in the cup final. We needed exciting players who could cause Arsenal problems. Not players like Carlos Sanchez.

I could see Cole coming back to do the mentoring role thing which he's allegedly been participating in, while making sub appearances and playing the odd cup game
