Injured according to Sherwood.

Where's he said that?

I'd have to check but it was on newsnow. Also said Lowton and senderos were just not selected.

Re-reading this thread from page 35, Delph says what a great trainer Gil is, works hard, seems genuinely very excited about the signing but never got a look in after the Stoke game. Was he injured and can anybody confirm that he's one of the players Sherwood wants rid of?

Seems really stupid if it is the case.

To be fair to JK, Charles Insomnia was pretty accurate. I struggle to sleep after watching him play.

Even Sherwood said in the early weeks there was no problem with Gil training.

I can only conclude he started playing up when Lambert left and Sherwood just never took to him. Such a waste though, him and Grealish behind a main striker would be great to watch and what we need to win home games on a regular basis.

I wouldn't worry about Gil being sidelined. The way this club has been run in recent years, he'll probably be assistant manager by christmas.

He's put me to sleep at times.

Where did you hear that from? I haven'y seen anything to say Gil has been told to do one. If true, my estimation of Sherwood will drop a few notches. Is he so in love with Grealish (and nurturing his reputation for playing young English players) that he's going to get rid of any competition? I hope he's not so stupid as young Jack, as good as he is, will most certainly have a phase where he needs a rest or loses form or god forbid, gets injured.

Everyone assumes from his lack of involvement that Sherwood doesn't rate him. Having seen his performance in the Stoke game, he might just have felt that he couldn't afford to let someone accumulate to the Premier League at a time when we were fighting for our lives. He was getting knocked off the ball so easily against Stoke that it's a valid point.

IIRC, Sherwood did make some comment about being able to build a team now, around some of the players who haven't had much of a chance under him so far. Hopefully this applies to Gil.
