It is also time for Benteke to turn in a match winning performance. For a man of his size and power he is capable of offering a lot more than he has been giving. I don't quite get the recent Benteke bashing. He scored on Saturday, scored the winner against Albion with a very cool penalty under the circumstances and scored two very good goals against Sunderland. Others need to chip in as well, we can't look to him all the time. It's more his general demenour and seeming lack of interest and effort.

I Think I was shocked to see how easily the Stoke defence eased him off the ball, and he just went further back into the midfield trying to get time on the ball which he didn't. In today's game all of our opponent s will have seen this. I hope he is trying to come to terms with this part of Premiership, and think think T S wants solid and reliable at the moment.

Pretty sure he won't be a Villa player very long with Sherwood in charge.
