Fully agree regarding agbonhalor! He is a coaster he doesn't deserve what he gets that's for sure!

Think pretty much of all them aren't putting it in now! They need to take along hard look at themselves

Summary of Lamberts interview just.

We had a lot of the ball...
Work hard in training
We're mixing it up
The long ball game is not for me
We have to do better as a team (you think?)
He has said this at least four times
Going to work hard in training

I can't think of a manager who has done more to get sacked.

you'd honestly believe that he is going out of his way to give the board no alternative. And this is a board that has found new and unique ways to justify keeping him around

Indeed.

In his 2.5 years here, he's had at least four or five runs of results that would get pretty much every other manager in the league sacked, yet he survives.

The question is, who would want the job at this stage. What's the vision for a manager? We're so obviously in decline that it's a thankless task

Lambert's fortunate in having a boss who has even less of a clue than he does.

Should he be sacked? 100% for me.

Will he be sacked? I would go as far as to say I will be staggered if he goes before the end of the season. Those of us making Christmas wishes are a couple of weeks too late for them to come true.

There's four reasons why I don't think he will be sacked at least now.

1. The owner thinks he's doing what is required.

2. There would need to be a period of temporary charge - with no coaches wtf would that be?

3. The next three games are really tough so confidence could go anyway with a new bloke coming in now.

4. Even if there is someone out there suitably qualified and I'm struggling to think who that is then they won't work under Lerners corner shop spending regime.  We can't even match a 2.5m fee for Sinclair.

'The long ball game is not for me', then why try and play it for 2 years?

In other words, he's out of excuses.

I certainly agree with point three, we really need to get someone ready to take over  for the Hull game.

To paraphrase a famous football managers comments on another team;

If Aston Villa were playing at the bottom of my Garden I'd draw the curtains.

We are a joke.

Leicester were missing about 5 first choice players today weren't they?

Point 2, some of our rivals changed managers very quickly, perhaps one league game under temporary manager.
Point 4, I don't think it would cost a fortune this month to improve us dramatically, it's as much about the coaching and style of play as the players

It's unbelievable the constant shit he comes out with.

It beggars belief he has a striker like Benteke then sets the team up with no width. The full backs are expected to just bomb down the wing with no support to provide width.

The effort didn't seem there today but also the team in the main look shot of confidence. Not sure what he said at half time but they came out and where all over the place. The possession stat doesn't show the real picture ,our passing is sideways and safe ,sure we keep the ball but he do the grand sum of fuck all with it.We play as if we are 3-0 up and just coasting until full time.

Another stat that once again shows that all you need to end a bad run is to play the Villa: that was Paul Konchesky's first Premier League goal for 1945 days...

Really? Five? I sat through most of the game wishing we could play like Leicester.
