Summary of Lamberts interview just.

We had a lot of the ball...
Work hard in training
We're mixing it up
The long ball game is not for me
We have to do better as a team (you think?)
He has said this at least four times
Going to work hard in training

Typical interview, nothing get's addressed because he has nothing to say. Very limited manager so he doesn't want to get in to the nitty gritty of what is going on.

You can fool some people some of the time Mr Lambert, but you can't fool everybody all of the time.

I wonder how long it will be before the Lambert apologists start to show their heads above the parapet?   About Tuesday at a guess.   We deserve Lambert because we have done so little to get rid of him for so long.

Do you really need to come out with "Lambert apologists"? If, for whatever reason, anyone still supports him, then they are fully entitled to that view.

He's entitled to bash the Lambert faithful. If you didn't back Lambore you got months of smarmy bed wetter comments and calm down dear. Anyone with a clue about football could see this coming because it's what it's been since day one under him, almost constant shit.

So who exactly are the Lambert faithful? Or are you suggesting anyone who doesn't smash Lambert for everything is somehow in his camp? It is possible to not want him as manager and actually acknowledge now everything about him is bad.

What's good about him? Please don't say the players he's signed because to a man they look a sack of shit. The results don't lie.

So what is the point of having any kind of debate about him with you, if any point I bring up you'd dismiss? You even brought up something he's done quite well and immediately disregarded it. That's not exactly how discussion or debate works.

There's a danger here of getting riled up over upsetting people who don't actually exist.

We should have lost today by 3 or 4, against a team who had more fight in them than any of our lot.

In 40+ years of loyally supporting the Villa I've stopped watching during the games, because there's simply nothing to watch. I'm ashamed to say that I wanted Leicester / Albrighton to score today for the simple reason I want Lambert out. He's had enough rope over nearly 3 seasons to have been long gone. In truth he should have gone after the embarrassing defeat against Bradford. At the very least he should have gone last summer. No manager of any substance suddenly makes the wholesale / radical changes to way the team plays mid-season. He's suddenly decided to fundamentally change the way we play without having the players to play it.

Lerner may have had the best of intentions but this is the slow painful death of Aston Villa (and his investment), if he is watching he must be able to see this.

The players don't have faith in Lambert & the fans certainly don't, do we really have to get to the brink of disaster for Lerner to react?

I don't know which is worse, the fact that we are terrible and in my view now in serious danger or the fact that like the bloke in the Iraqi hotel he continues to come out with the crap like we are creating chances Etc that is so laughably bad it would be funny were it not so serious.

If we sack Lambore then Lerner has to put in a little bit of effort and get involved slightly with the hiring. He doesn't want that. Everything of the last 4 years points to him not giving a rats arse and looking to put as little time and effort in as possible.

Lambore won't be sacked. Lerner is just sitting waiting for an unrealistic offer to come in for a club he's run in to the ground. This Fox bloke is another yes man. All these little hints that Lerner has his passion back... where is the proof? What have we done to suggest Lerner is back on the ball and looking to improve us? Gabby new contract, keep things ticking over. Lambore new contract, keep things ticking over. New Ceo because the old one started questioning the direction, keep things ticking over. We can't afford £3m for a player this window yet Lerners got his passion for the club back? Bollocks, they've taken the piss out of us for years with these constant jam tomorrow plans that have been shown up for what they are. Lerner can stick his tattoo up his arse.

that's the worst performance of the season by a long way, we were utterly pathetic.  The only positives were Guzan and Clark so it's no surprise that one of them got a shocker of a red card to miss the next 3 games.

Straight red or second yellow? SSN said second yellow
Second yellow and he didn't deserve it.

A blatant elbow to James' face. He is lucky that the ref booked him so retrospective action can't be taken. Should have been a straight red.

It seems to be getting worse every week.  Benteke has the potential to be one of the best in Europe, he's being wasted, barely in the game today.  A few years ago he was a real threat, running at people, bullying defenders, making things happen, absolutely nothing today, its sad to see.

Toronto I disagree he's bought well, sorry mate the league positions, goals scored, goals conceded, possession, shots on target .... any stat you want to pull out of the bag we have done poorly at. We've barely played a good 90 minutes of football in 4 years, so how are the players he's bought any good?

Sorry if I've come across as an arsehole or aggressive I've just hit my limit today, so pissed off, no offence is meant to anyone. I think I need a lie down ha.

Oh dear. The possession plan isn't working. The players don't look interested. We lose to the worst side in the league and they have five of their key players missing, we are likely to be charged again for failing to control our players, the owner isn't interested but expects the fans to turn up and back a manager who performs so badly, he gets a new contract. 11 goals in how many games? Rotten to the core. The club so very badly needs a new Manager, a new focal point. Quickly.

Fox is Lerner's man at B6, he should be making it clear that Villa as an investment by a new owner is a no chance solution, so Lerner's losing money every week he does nothing about Lambert because sure as houses we are going to be relegated this season.

The players give every appearance of being disinterested, Lambert obviously can't motivate them and they have contracts so are fire proof until they can go on a free, If I was a player at Villa I'd be wanting to be away from Lambert as soon as possible before my reputation was tarnished beyond redemption.

A new manager might fire them up, Pulis seems to have got the Baggies on the right trail, but who could we get at B6 who was of good quality and experience and wants to come under the current circumstances, unless he was from Europe with some knowledge of the Premiership?

Fox needs to tell Lerner enough is enough before it's too late.
