Lambert seems to have no idea what he's doing and and to be making it up as he goes along.  I know he's had his hands tied financially, and that the Premier League is all about money, but he manifestly is unable to make any difference as regards coaching, tactics or motivation.

Giving him a four year contract is probably the worst decision Lerner has ever made and it's up against some stiff competition.  Even TSM was given the heave-ho after one season.

Spot on.

The feeling that this utter shite is acceptable to the only people who can change things is just depressing beyond words.

He genuinely just can not change stuff on the pitch, and today was a perfect example of it.

If we sacked him now, would anyone be surprised?

Very sadly.

Pathetic result. Is that more red cards than goals this season? Certainly seems that way.

Last six league games, we've had four times as many red cards as goals we've scored. (4 - 1)

I wonder how long it will be before the Lambert apologists start to show their heads above the parapet?   About Tuesday at a guess.   We deserve Lambert because we have done so little to get rid of him for so long.

Yes.

Lerner doesn't care.

Today was the worst I can remember us playing under him.

There was no thought, patern etc.

A simply 4-4-2 with width killed us because of our lack of any clue.

Benteke looks like a poor player, which is a sad state.

He has to go.

As for a replacement.... god knows. Someone with a bit of bloody drive to start with that can get some energy back in them.

We have given this joker so much time! He has had three years to try to improve but we are getting worse and worse!

No ideas how can lambert possibly think the system is working! He is a disgrace he is letting players coast

The club is stale and rotten and I'm sick of ploughing money into players management and a chairman who frankly don't deserve a penny!

I'm done with it

Im a realist I don't expect much but the very least I want is players to try to push themselves to take that gamble fight and give it a go!

The only thing that Lambert could do to gain an ounce of my respect back is to resign

The only positive might be it could shake the complacency out of the club this transfer window. We can go down, we are not safe, there are not 3 teams worse than us and we do need to spend to stay up.

Now is the time to open up that chequebook Randy.

Do you really need to come out with "Lambert apologists"? If, for whatever reason, anyone still supports him, then they are fully entitled to that view.

I'd move for the bog-eyed one at Sociodad before he gets too comfy

I would, just because it might show that Lerner isn't totally, completely and irredeemably incompetent.

I haven't spent a single penny on the club for at least two seasons now for the same reasons. I am staggered, amazed and impressed all at the same time that anyone still bothers to go.

There was a "poisonous" atmosphere in the away end apparently. Looks like the fans have properly turned now.

For the first time I'm genuinely starting to believe that Lerner doesn't care at all.
