Lambert out.
The whole club is in a state of paralasis and he actually believes all this possession bullshit.
We are the worst side in the Premier League and certain to go down, no one at the club seems to understand the fact that you need to score goals to win games, possession is useless if there is no threat of a goal at the end of it.
I will not set foot in Villa Park until Lambert has gone, I've had a season ticket for the past 30 years but this is the worst team and tactics I've ever seen.
Lambert and Lerner have become a cancer at our club.
Sack him and sell up, anything is better than this.

I wonder how long it will be before the Lambert apologists start to show their heads above the parapet?   About Tuesday at a guess.   We deserve Lambert because we have done so little to get rid of him for so long.

Do you really need to come out with "Lambert apologists"? If, for whatever reason, anyone still supports him, then they are fully entitled to that view.
No-one's debating whether they're entitled to that view but Brian's not wrong in his description.

No, I agree, he isn't. I'd love to see someone coming on here now supporting that tosser of a manager and us all saying that he or she is entitled to that view.

It's intended as a derogatory term. The fact that virtually none of us has any faith in Lambert any more doesn't mean that anyone who does shouldn't be allowed to say it without being called an "apologist". Same as on any subject.

Get Lambert out of our club, now.
Also too many "couldn't give a fuck" players in the squad.

I don't think its because they don't care, it's more to do that they're just not good enough. Lerner's cutbacks are coming home to roost. You sell your best players and replace th with cheap ones and you're going to suffer. That's what's happened to Villa for the last 4 - 5 years.
We have been deliberately devalued as a club.
Lerner out!

that's the worst performance of the season by a long way, we were utterly pathetic.  The only positives were Guzan and Clark so it's no surprise that one of them got a shocker of a red card to miss the next 3 games.

The term Lambert apologists is in my view both fair and balanced.   There are fans on here who support him and I think so long as that is the case those of us who think he is useless have no choice but to accept that.

Why not say Lambert supporters which is what they would be? If I still supported Lambert as manager then i'd be a Lambert supporter, not a Lambert apologist.

I still support him. Just. Results make it harder by the week though. No doubt.

Supporting Villa the past , god is it 4 years now since we nosed dived? Has really been pretty shit. I am not getting angry. Just more disinterested. Shrug.

And lowered our expectations to boot.We used to dream about cups and top four with a swashbuckling style. Now we dream about a shot on target before the 60th minute.

Fewest goals scored in a PL season is 20 by Derby County in 2007-08, rate of 0.53. Villa currently have 11 in 21, a rate of 0.52.

Great stat that ...

If I was that pish at my job then I would resign. The man has no self respect.

I love that word pish. Sums Lambert up perfectly.

I wonder what Doug Ellis is thinking about Lambert?

I can't think of a manager who has done more to get sacked.

you'd honestly believe that he is going out of his way to give the board no alternative. And this is a board that has found new and unique ways to justify keeping him around

We're now accumulating red cards at a faster rate than goals.  It's only going to end one way unless Lerner sacks this clown, but it's difficult to see him  doing it.  It's also
difficult to see what Lambert's is trying to achieve, and it looks to me as if the players are just as bemused.  They don't seem interested.  Be interesting to see if Lambert is asked about the critical chanting.

Albion as a club have given up all pretence of being the Brazil of the West Midlands and compromised on their entire structure to bring in Pulis for one simple reason. To stay in the Premier League. We will sleepwalk to relegation on the basis everything will be fine because it has worked out OK the last few years in the end.
