First season.
Worst ever start.
Highest number of goals conceded.
Biggest ever PL (possibly league defeat).
Biggest number of goals conceded without reply (16).
Highest number of home defeats. (9I
First side to get beaten over two legs by a fourth tier side.

Second season.
Highest number of home defeats (10)
Lowest number of points in a PL season (surpassing McLeish two seasons earlier).

Wrong Lambert equalled the lowest points in a PL season he didn't beat it.  I'm not a Lambert fan I want him gone but please lets stick to the facts

Third season so far.
Highest number of minutes without scoring a goal.
Highest number of English League managers leaving their jobs before Villa scored another goal (16).
Lowest goal tally after 20 games.
Lowest points tally in a calendar year?
Longest period without scoring in front of The Holte.

These are off the top of my head.  And don't include cup exits to:

Millwall, Sheffield United, Leyton Orient.

What's the record number of clean sheets in a season?

With the improved defence having clocked up a few so far, I wonder how far from the record we'll be in May?

"First side to get beaten over two legs by a fourth tier side" is a bit of a meaningless "first", surely?  I mean, a couple of rounds before that, we knocked out Man City so we could credit Lambert with the equally daft cup "first" of knocking out a three hundred million quid team away from home.  All these "firsts" seem pretty arbitrary to me and lack a great deal of context.

No they demonstrate a shockingly bad set of statistics never 'achieved' before by any other Villa manager and the context is in today's day and age he has been given a remarkably large amount of time to do something about the likes of these and our shocking standard of football on the pitch.  That he continues to spout crap about us playing well and creating loads of chances only serves to further demonstrate his deficiencies as a manager of Villa.

Worst ever interest-levels for me. Today's game will happily pass me by.

I know I'm not alone on this.

I know how you feel as I didn't bother with the Palace game and had a wonderful day, Villa free. I really shouldn't be telling you this, should I? Saying that, I'm looking forward to the game today. Heaven knows why.

Don't forget the most "failure to control our players/fines " in a season, three in half a season so far and   the most red cards in a season. Most players signed by a manager and then sent out on loan must be another record he has achieved

Sussex County League Division Two side Seaford Town, the only team in the top 10 tiers of English football to score fewer goals than Aston Villa, have challenged the Premier League outfit to a match to decide the most boring team in the country. (The Sun - subscription required)
