We scored in the sixth one, 1-2 v Spurs. So he only equalled the record that time. Now he's broken it. In the same season. Incredible.

On a positive note, we're still five games away from equalling the worst ever league run without scoring (Coventry 1919-20, Hartlepool, 1992-93). That's due against the Stripeys in March. I'm hoping we benefit from an own goal before then, more likely than any of our lot scoring.

If there was any pride left in the boardroom at Aston Villa they would have sacked Lambert ages ago. Instead he's stayed and festered and quite frankly humiliated us.
The records this man has set since he joined us is quite staggering. 11 league goals going into February is something I'd never envisaged at Villa. It's the kind of stuff you'd expect from a lower league club playing in front of a couple of thousand paying fans, but it's happening here at Aston Villa, a club that's spent just 12 seasons outside the top division in its entire history. It's totally unnaceptable.
Randy Lerner is to blame 100%. He has got away with murder over the last 5 seasons in which he has deliberately plunged us into decline with his cutbacks, penny pinching and quite diabolical managerial appointments.
The sooner he sells up and gets out the better, and take that incompetent buffoon Lambert with you as well.

I don't usually pay much attention to records, because ultimately they're there to be broken. But what I do know is that if you get near to one of them, you're either playing exceptionally well or exceptionally shite.
