Despite buying 2 tickets for the game, after the Sunderland borefest I've given them away because Villa quite honestly bore me to fucking death right now.

Thanks Paul.

What would you rather he did? Throw the tickets away? At least he's decent enough to give them away to someone else. Someone who might be a regular one day if we perform well and they fall in love with our club.

And to someone who might not have to do the 220 mile round trip to be bored to fucking death.

The Sunderland game was easily one of the most boring matches I've watched since football was invented by Sky.

I had to quit on 70 minutes. The Mrs had come back from shopping and bought Cake. Cake won. Cake was good. Football wasn't. I was so sure the match was going to end on a 0-0 I would have bet a bollock on it if I could have.

If we lose this the manager surely will walk.
Unfortunately, only as far as the car park, where he'll sit down, turn on the music and close between
The Cranberries - Zombie
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
or
Grant Lee Buffalo - Demon Called Deception
when we all know that it should be.
Manic Street Preachers - I'm Not Working.

Anyway 0-0. He wouldn't want anything too noisy or boisterous to worsen the New Year's hangovers.

10 bonus points for getting a Manics song into a post, even if it is one of their more boring ones.

Villa need to perform in this game, namely because everyone is going to be nursing a new years day hangover and we'll all need a remedy to assist the hare of the dog.

If we start Grealish i think we'll win, with him and Gabby on the flanks it gives us a chance of splitting their defence and creating openings, i know Gabby hasn't been effective since Hull at home but with another threat on the opposite wing it might give him more freedom to run at a lone defender.

PM the mods to see if I'm a WUM?

I await your retraction of that claim.

Cough

Our goal record is shit regardless of which end we are shooting at, he will sort it like he sorted the defence. We have scored goals away too if you watch match if the day.

You appear to go out of your way to cast aspersions over other people's validity as fans, then get upset when anyone calls you out on it.

You ignore any attempt to engage in reasonable debate, denigrating any argument against St Lambert the goalless with the sort of "e's he's ace 'coz e ain't ad no money as e?" response most of contributors on here associate with somewhere like KRO.

See if you can answer this one.

What's the difference between an excuse and a reason?

To be fair Sunderland are even more boring than us. I think they've scored once against us in the last 6 meetings and they always put 10 men behind the ball. They didn't know what to do when we had a man sent off as it meant that they actually had to attack a bit.

Looking back the ref did us a favour, as 10 against 11 made for a more interesting second half.

Can't see Crystal Palace being any more adventurous against us.

I personally think The Everlasting is a fairly good way of describing the feeling most people experience when watching a game at VP recently and From Despair to Where is probably the thought on most Villa fans minds when the final whistle does blow.
