Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace Pre-Match Thread
« on: December 29, 2014, 09:50:16 PM »
Villa Park, Thursday 3pm

Four points was probably acceptable from Sunderland and Palace, which means that we need three from this one for it to be an acceptable Christmas.

I reckon another point, probably 1-1 and another step on the dull ladder to safety.

Bacuna and Grealish should really be starting after the last few games. And presumably Bacuna has to with Delph out.

We really should be winning this one, Palace aren't as good defensively as Sunderland and counter attack like us so surely to McGrath we'll getting some more space and chances in this game and score some goals.

I feel dizzy, 3-1 to us. Hopefully Pardew will let Keith Millen take this game as our record is garbage against Pardew managed teams.

Surely we have to score some goals and win again soon? The possession must at some point come to something so I'll go for 3-0. Benteke to rip them a new one

This is the game we will absolutely, certainly lose.

Not through form or players available, none of that shite, but because it is exactly the right time for us to plunge headlong into a tailspin that will result in us losing in a replay to Blackpool and hanging on by our teeth come May.

Because that's the way it is, I'm now totally convinced.

I want this to be the game that Grealish starts in, plays exceptionally, then gets called up to the next England squad, suddenly becomes the next saviour of English football, before we're having to rebuff 20 million bids in the summer.
But I want this to be the starting point, because we need some magic from somewhere and we really need to win a game like this. Every point counts when you're trying to scrape to 40 points.
