Just imagine what England could achieve if only he were English.
If only he played for a big club!

We could save a bob or two on the floodlights by turning them down and basking in the glorious glow emanating from the awesome genius that is Michael Carrick.

Or, even better, for the sake of all those at the match, turn the floodlights off.

He's good, but he's not Jermain Beckford quality.

I hate this fixture. The Witton upper will be full of the usual clueless tourists, taking photos and selfies every 5 friggin seconds. At the corresponding match last season, some prick in front of us filmed the whole match. Not the corners and free kicks, but the whole thing. Wanker.

I was in London today and from a cafe watched a young Japanese woman in a sars mask spend 20 minutes videoing a red post box. Our capital city has become a theme park overrun by tourists.

I can beat that.

I was driving through Warwick the other day and saw a group of Japanese tourists walking down towards the castle entrance in sars masks.

Mind you, they'll have come in handy to filter out the extra pollution the council have caused by introducing those truly fucking ridiculous obstructions to the flow of traffic on the High Street.

Right, kids?

Red Devils? Oh, do f*ck off.

Exactly what I thought when I read that. Coincidentally it would probably also be exactly what my thirteen year old son would be thinking if I asked him if he wanted to wear a festive jumper to the game. He would just look and me as if I had gone mad and say no but I know he would thinking 'oh do f**k off dad'.

Aston Villa welcome the Red Devils of Manchester United from The Theatre of Dreams to Villa Park this weekend. A bumper festive home crowd will be excited at the prospect of seeing the likes of Michael Carrick, Wayne Rooney, Phil Jones and returning hero Ashley Young...

Carrick, Jones and Young. The players Best, Law and Charlton could have been.

For God's sake Villa, just win this bloody match. Don't care how you do it, just win. I hate these tossers more than any other club. I live and work in Manchester and for a long time now this game has become an annual nightmare. Just for once Villa, take the match to them. Defensively they're no great shakes. Give us an early Christmas present Villa, and shut these glory hunting bustard up. Please!  Did I say I hate Man Ure?

Your lucky. You live and work in Manchester. Most of us have to live in a city where we regularly come across United fans. ;)

I'm a ST holder and annually give this one a miss ever since that 1-4 under MON. That was the day I realised we will never beat them again.
I am going Saturday though and will be north lower showering a load of bile and abuse on the glory hunting hoardes (whilst keeping one eye on Carrick obviously ;-) ).
I expect a gut wrenching defeat snatched from the jaws of victory but and it's a very big but, you never know .

You mean at VP?  We did beat them at their place under MON.  It just goes to show you, because must teams would fancy playing them more at home than away, but the oppisite is true of us.  In fact recently Utd have been poorer at home than on the road, so boy would I love this to be at Old Trafford.

Exactly my point. Sycophantic sh*t, the likes of which should not be on Pravda.

they call Sunderland the Black Cats in a different article on the OS. All a bit nothing really as I am sure we've been referred to as the Villains in other places leading up to games. It's shit like Theatre of Dreams that is vomit inducing and especially if one of our own spouts that kind of bollocks.

And it seems to me you played for them
In the centre of Midfield
Never failed to pass it sideways
In a three nil win.

Whatever the outcome I hope everybody enjoys being in the presence of Michael Carrick. Something you'll be able to tell your grandchildren about one day.

Surely you mean Michael The Footballers Footballer Carrick

Slack jawed Carrick, over rated looking better than he is in a poor defence
