Love those! Are they available from the club shop?

They are online at least in the retro section here

I'm a sucker for that kind of image, whatever it's called - Soviet propaganda? I wonder why they don't sell them as prints.

DWS - they still going?

Very much... I sometimes wonder if there is Brummie in a senior position at Deutsche Bank with investment they are making in Brum. It was a very rubbish logo though.

We need the waistcoat back!!!

I remember going in the shop at the beginning of the following season and seeing a whole rack of those waistcoats on sale. Horrendous idea.

No, they were a beautiful, beautiful thing. I can't believe I never bought one.

My favourite was the dark blue AST computers one from about 96/97. Proper collars.

Now we're talking!  The green is an odd cult thing, which is either brilliant or a disaster, where as that one is simple but delightful.  Very underrated if its possible for a football shirt to be such a thing.

I've never seen or heard of them but they are so godawful, they're hilarious. Add to that, I like the touch of having Asics on the front pocket, simply terrible, I'd almost be tempted into buying one for an expensive joke.

Anyone remember those grungy looking cardigans with the classic Villa circular crest from about 3/4 years ago? Was anyone ever seen wearing one? Now that was another bad idea.

I always thought the 92-93 retro top didn't have the sponsor as its not on any of the the pictured shirts in the catalogue or online but it does actually say Mita Copiers will be printed on it before shirt is posted. Defo gonna buy one of them now as my original 2 - yes I had 2 - don't fit so good.

I have a shelf in my wardrobe full of old Villa shirts. I can't believe I used to wear a medium!

It was a bit of a departure at the time, but with the black shorts and green socks I think it worked OK.

I really like our current away kit, but would also like to see us back in yellow and blue as well.

I hadn't realised the 1983/84 away shirt was available again - I always picture Mark Walters scoring that great goal against Spartak in Moscow in that kit.

1995/96 and relegated to third shirt status for '96/'97. Remember being a bit crestfallen summer '96 when Match magazine had a poster of Alan Wright wearing the white shirt when I'd only finally successfully begged my parents to buy the navy one during Euro '96 and I knew it was doomed. Think we still wore it a few times that season, though.

The recent England away shirt was quite similar in design, navy body and sky blue collar. Very smart.

I still wear the reversible claret and blue/ green red wooly hat to games that was the last thing my nan bought me before she died.
It's a bit saggy now but I love it

Chuffing 'eck, have the club's commercial department decided to dump-out dodgy away shirts from the past all in one go? They're also selling this:

A classic is back! The Aston Villa Retro Away Shirt from season 83-84 is one of the more fashionable and stylish jerseys worn by the team. The 1983-84 season saw a solid Villa team defeat local rivals West Brom and Wolves at home in First Division and also take on Spartak Moscow and Portuguese side Vitória de Guimarães in the UEFA Cup.

It's like when record companies re-issued a band's entire back catalogue on CD.
