It's a proper dirty dozen team, the old cast offs  and disaffected from other clubs coming together and starting to look better than there individual parts

Did you see them celebrating together at the end, it actually means something

And whilst I don't condone nasty tackles, even against this cheating bunch of twats, it's really good to see us putting it about a bit. We've been far too nice for far too long, just shrugging our shoulders when we don't get pens or they get given against us for example

I thought that was the perfect away game by Villa today, the first 20 minutes we played some excellent stuff took the lead then PL changed formation and almost totally snuffed Liverpool out for the rest of the game by the whole team working their socks off and limiting Liverpool to just one shot on target.

Well done to PL for his tactics today, that was the first time in a long while I could totally relax for the whole of the second half watching us defend a one goal lead.

I agree to an extent but I always think these 'deserved wins' after a backs-to-the-wall performance are pretty fickle. Coutinho's shot flies in, what then? It's all what ifs but ultimately Liverpool didn't do enough today. I'm not convinced that playing without any attacking intent for most of the game is the way to go.

You carry on being as miserable as you like. The rest of us can celebrate a win at Anfield.

All I have to say is well done Nathan Baker. You've made a good number of us look complete mugs and very much me. What a super option now off the bench. We planned for this and got it right. They had lots of the ball did very little of note with it. And big Phil, what a man!! Our defence looks fucking rock right now.

Guzan did,nt have to make a save in the entire 90 mins , a maginificent performance by the whole VILLA TEAM ...............Godzvilla!

What Senderos Thing???????????????????????

His kick on Balotelli = a sort of "welcome to the Premiership" sort of thing...
Don't agree with it but it will be made out to be the only reason we won by scousers

The sneaky kick on Balotelli ,I'm worried they'll punish him retrospectively as the ref didn't see it.

The fact we have had 6 shots on target is being made a lot of - Liverpool not hitting the target seems to be forgotten

It also overlooks the fact we were the team most likely to score for the first twenty minutes.

Disappointed we only managed the one goal today but on a positive note it was great to keep another clean sheet.

Oh that, Balotelli made a real meal of it trying to con the ref. How many times have we been done by favorouble refereeing and cheating by those £$%$%ers. FCUKem

Absolutely. Always been my favourite away strip by miles because of its associations to that period in our history. Thought it looked really smart today. Why, however, we have a player turning out in black boots beats me, disgraceful
