One of very few London clubs we don't all hate. Probably because we know hardly anything about them.

Villa 3 Orient 1.

Jimmy Cumbes hat trick for us, a jellied eel for them.

Strong team and show we are taking the cup competitions seriously. Win by a 3 or 4 goal margin.

The only game against them that springs to mind is March 22 1975. It was my 29th birthday and we played them at Brisbane Rd. and lost 1-0.
It was in the days of only one sub being allowed, and they made a change at half time and their sub came out wearing the same number as one of their other players (no names on shirts in those days) I think it was number two.
I can remember Ron Saunders saying after the game that it confused our side, and I believe that there was some sort of inquiry but nothing came of it.
Anyway watch out Villa, they're a bunch of cheating bastards.

There's always a reason, long memories are in our DNA.

5-0. The road(s) to Wembley start here.

0-1 to Leyton Orient. They're a decent side and I am not sure how serious we will take the game.

A good chance to give Okore, Gardner, Grealish and Sanchez some game time.

My team
Given
Richardson
Lowton
Okore
Vlaar
Bacuna
Grealish
Delph
Sanchanz
Cole
Bent

Have a feeling this won't be easy.  Orient are a solid team, with a good manager who play a neat passing game and could enjoy going away to our place.  But we are in fairly high sprits too and should just do enough

3-1
Bent, Grealish, and Lowton for us.

Should be a 'routine' win for us.

Maybe 3 goals, none conceded.

Easy, but then again.........

I think it will be 2-1 to Villa. Don't underestimate the mighty O's.

I'd go for a mix and match approach. We should be aiming to get through and we need to see if we can get some creative players working well

Given - Hutton Okore senderos Clark - sanchez Westwood - n'zogbia cole grealish - bent

Ideally get a couple of goals up and then give Gardner and maybe even Robinson a run

The front four are auditioning for the hull game.

I was also at that game in 1975, don't know if you realise it that was the last game we lost that season, we won the final 8 games of the season on the trot to end a remarkable season.

The issue is, whatever team we put out, if we play Bent we will look uncohesive and lacklustre. Complete waste of space.

My memories of Leyton Orient go back to their only ever appearance in the first division in the 62/63 season.  I think I have the honour of being the first into Villa Park when the gates opened that day.  I went and stood down the front of the Trinity Road paddock by the players tunnel.  The Villa trainer of the time, I think it was Bill Moore came out for a look round and spoke to me about being in so early.  Imagine what that was like back then for a fourteen year old kid.

Orient were very hard beaten that day, 1-0.  My memory of the goal is somewhat vague now.  I know it was a fluke.  I can' t remember exactly but I think it was a cross from Harry Burrows that sailed into the net, either that or it was direct from a corner.  I have a recollection that Charlie Aitken may have been involved somehow.

I appreciate this should be in memories, please move if necessary.

Undefeated in my last two of these, so here's hoping the streak continues ;)
That's all very good but some crucial detail missing. When and time of kick off?

Just win.  I don't care how.

I admire the sentiment but I'd prefer that we didn't try to bribe the opposition into throwing the game. Not only are those kind of shenanigans frowned upon but I don't think we have the available funds.
