Slight tangent, Leyton Orient was the second Villa game I ever went to, first being Fulham at Craven Cottage which we won 2-0 incidentally.
We lost the game at Brisbane Road 1-0, we did get an equaliser in the 94th minute, but a bit like that famous World Cup goal that was disallowed because the ref (Thomas) blew his whistle before the ball crossed the line, our equaliser was also ruled out.

Back on topic.
I do hope this gets treated with some respect and we field a decent side, I don't think I can bear another cup exit to a third tier team.

I'd only make limited changes and get the game won...

This. There's a fortnight's international break looming, we're not gonna lose that many players to it, give the first team some game time.

For me, Okore needs games and I wouldn't pair up Clark and Baker. Ever again.

Steer's out on loan ain't he?

My Doncaster colleague tells me he has played well for them so far. Though they did concede 3 goals from set pieces at the weekend.

Villa and Blues are both down as 7.45pm kick-offs on Wednesday 27th August.

But surprised they're both playing at home on the same night, Baggies are on the Tuesday night.

Mind you, Blues will only get about 8000 people there probably, with half of them being Sunderland fans.

They will probably change the Blues game to a Tuesday, if not the police are asking for trouble.

We've played a few times on the same night. If both clubs have announced those times then that is when the games will be. They won't announce them and then change them in the LC.

Is should not be an issue. Hardly anyone will be ya small heath and I'd imagine we will be mid 20's.
If WMP can't handle that then we should be worried.

As a kid (mainly 70s) for midweek games we were always at home on Wednesday and Blues on Tuesday. Them's the rules.
