Wasn't there a last day drama in the 90s?

I don't get all the vitriol over Gerrard. He was a genuine world class player and a one club man who has played in a period when Liverpool have been left behind by Man Utd and the money of Chelsea and Man City. He could have gone anywhere and got as many pots as he'd wanted. He has also borne the pain of Hillsborough personally and with quiet dignity - the youngest victim being his cousin who was only 12 months older than him at the time.Good luck to him.

Wasn't it a 12 goal swing or something?

Thought that was in Dr Jo's season.
He could have gone anywhere, if he'd been allowed to by certain people. Allegedly.
