This has made my footballing week after our two wins. I think it is well documented just how much I despise those classless, soulless shitsIndeed, you can only really understand how classless they are living in the south amongst all the Johnny come lately fans.

Now I must know about 22. With the exception of the aforementioned two, they are all absolute twats. Always ready to take the piss when the Villa lose because they know how much I care and deep down, they know I am a proper old school fan. But impossible to do the other way because, of course, they don't really care or even know they are playing half the time. They all have a horrible sort of arrogance about them and no sense of perspective on what they used to be or why they are where they are now. I despise them more than any club including the usual suspects closer to my original home!

And I loved him as a player despite all the incidents he got involved in. I always thought he was dead cool and good looking to boot. If I could have a dinner party and choose ten guests to chat football with over the meal, he would be one of them. Having seen snatches of him on the BBC documentary about Alan Hansen when he quit MOTD, I also suspect Souness is a really nice guy who is a cut above most footballers.

What is wrong with Costa? He only seemed interested in squaring up to players throughout the game and was at it again after the final whistle.

Brilliant supertom, top post! I still smile when I think of meeting a Chelsea fan at a conference last year. He asked me over the bufffet lunch who I support, 'the Villa' says I. When I returned the compliment and he said Chelsea, I just walked off, leaving him standing there with his plate and drink. Very infantile I know but it felt good at the time. Actually, it felt brilliant.
