I left looking at the scores on the BBC website once Chelsea went 2-1 up so am absolutely delighted at the outcome. This has made my footballing week after our two wins. I think it is well documented just how much I despise those classless, soulless shits

Indeed, you can only really understand how classless they are living in the south amongst all the Johnny come lately fans.

Ten years ago or so I knew perhaps two genuine Chelsea fans. Now I must know about 22. With the exception of the aforementioned two, they are all absolute twats. Always ready to take the piss when the Villa lose because they know how much I care and deep down, they know I am a proper old school fan. But impossible to do the other way because, of course, they don't really care or even know they are playing half the time. They all have a horrible sort of arrogance about them and no sense of perspective on what they used to be or why they are where they are now. I despise them more than any club including the usual suspects closer to my original home!

Graeme Souness has just really launched into the Chelsea cheating tonight, epitomised by Costa running 50 yards to join in the "protests" about Ibrahimovic's tackle.

He's probably my favourite pundit.

I agree. And I loved him as a player despite all the incidents he got involved in. I always thought he was dead cool and good looking to boot. If I could have a dinner party and choose ten guests to chat football with over the meal, he would be one of them. Having seen snatches of him on the BBC documentary about Alan Hansen when he quit MOTD, I also suspect Souness is a really nice guy who is a cut above most footballers.

Same, walking around town I see more Chelsea shirts than any other kit (maybe apart from Brighton). Before I lived in the south east, I don't think I ever saw a Chelsea shirt.
Also never forgiven the van driver on cup final day 2000 who tried to run me (in my Villa top) over in Earlsfield.

Think is he doesn't feel the need to toe the party line. He was quite negative against the English team last night whereas the commentary team usually are completely biased.

I only know one Man City fan and one Chelsea fan, both of who were fans before the money arrived.

I'm more likely to bump into Leeds fans down here

He's got some neck, he was the dirtiest, whiniest bastard going

Sneaky and nasty in equal measure too.

He could play too though

Saw him when he played for Spurs' youth team. He really stood out from the rest as a great talent and a nasty, dirty bastard.

And the greatest ever cameo by a footballer in a TV drama.

What is wrong with Costa?  He only seemed interested in squaring up to players throughout the game and was at it again after the final whistle.

He's a nasty, irritating, classless spunk bucket.  He fits in perfectly.

I'd love him playing for us though, because along with all that he scores goals.

He's supposedly a very quiet, shy bloke off the pitch, wonder if he has to almost get himself psyched up to play football and goes a bit too far?

Chelsea are a shithouse of a club. Always has been, always will be. The old schoolers fancy themselves as salt of the Earth, ready to dish it out when it comes to a scrap (and normally get in the first shot). The die-hard travelling have a select few bunch of has-been thugs who like to have many a misty eyed reminisce about the street battles with rival clubs here, and even more so about battling those mucky foreigners from over the Channel. That such cretins as John Terry and Dennis Wise are held in such high regard says it all really.

Now their fans largely consist of closet UKIPers, feet stomping loud and proud UKIPers, gloryhunting bandwagon jumping tosspots, tourists, hipsters who go to the odd game to watch ironically before losing interest, and those aforementioned old school brawlers who think they're the last bastion of Britishness.

I've very rarely met a Chelsea fan who wasn't a complete James Hunt, or 5 cans short of a 6 pack. The very rare decent sort you can only really feel pity for as they have to share their ground with thousands of primates who haven't quite caught up to the rest of the human race in the evolutionary scale. That Jeremy Clarkson swaggers around the stands last night, grinning from ear to ear while his fellow Chelsea fans greet him as "one of the boys" says a lot.

Or at least this is my polite way of describing them.

I've met Utd fans who are often arrogant and have a sense of entitlement. I've met Liverpool fans who are likewise. Spurs fans who are just deluded and have this expectation that their rightful place should be top of the league (whilst rarely ever getting close to doing so). Man City fans who have forgotten their routes and swan around acting in the way they once found repugnant from their arrogant neighbours. I've met Arsenal bores. But I have to say, as far as a few of the Chelski fans I've met, they've been genuinely nasty pieces of works. Not mere toss-pottery but an added layer of repulsiveness on top.

Brilliant supertom, top post! I still smile when I think of meeting a Chelsea fan at a conference last year. He asked me over the bufffet lunch who I support, 'the Villa' says I. When I returned the compliment and he said Chelsea, I just walked off, leaving him standing there with his plate and drink. Very infantile I know but it felt good at the time. Actually, it felt brilliant.
