At least everyone around them won too so they'll stay in the bottom 3.

Hate to say it...blindingly obvious...that's a good result against top of the league.

Hopefully it'll be made null and void as they fielded 11 illegible players!
Or something.

Shame they won, they'd have been four adrift. Oh well, come on Cardiff

Mr Merson is not happy.

I think that he's used the word 'clueless' about a dozen times in describing Arsenal's performance

There will be a regression to the mean soon. They're probably not a team that should ship eight either.

Work all season to qualify for the CL and then field a second string against the holders? Bizarre

To be fair to Rogers he set up a team to contain and they did. Gerard doesn't have the legs anymore and Balotelli is way off form.
Whether he broke the rules around fielding your strongest team is a slippery slope for UEFA to charge as big teams often rest players once qualified.

It is the entire point of the Champions League, that's why they ditched the straight knock out competition (and the concept of only actual champions entering) - to provide more matches to sell the television rights for, and generate more cash.

Do UEFA have any rules on that? The Premier League do (hence bringing in the 25 man squad rule), but I don't think UEFA really care.

The rules state you can pick any player from your named Champions League squad! That is all.
