Must be years since we won with Dean the in the middle.

He can't be any worse than KEA.

Treat it like a cup game, Gabby? Makes sense...we must have treated the Sheff Utd and Bradford ties as league matches.

This is the same Gabby who, in one of his earliest post match interviews after a cup win declared "It is all about getting the three points".

It has also been a while since I heard a match day shout of "Dont rub 'em, count them!"

Essetially Lambos tactics, team selection and substitutions have left alot to be desired this season. But the players are culpable as well. There has been alot of "arse in hands" performances from them and it has shown. I know confidence has alot to do with things and am not naive enough to think Hull will roll over but regardless of the result, if I see effort and desire akin to the home Arsenal defeat then I will clap them off the pitch whatever the result - No individual player is responsible for the injuries we currently have or the lack of depth/quality in the squad at present.

But....

If I see a half arsed performance or any feeling sorry for themselves they will never be forgiven in my eyes.  Lambert should sit them down on Friday and make each and everyone of them read the history of Aston Villa swiftly followed by making them watch the European Cup Final VHS. I think they probably need to understand exactly what they are being charged with protecting for the coming 90mins

He's not the brightest, Flanagan of Liverpool is possibly the only player who looks more gormless.

Jonjo Shelvey is by far the worst.  And he's thicker than a whale omelette too.

Clarke Carlisle is supposedly the cleverest footballer which says it all really.

Can we just turn up and play like we did against Chelsea a few weeks back? That was our best performance of the season. What happened to that form?? A big mystery.

Never thought I'd type these words but Holt must play. Yes he's a slow lumbering oaf of a player but at least he knows how to play the frontman role and be a pain to opposition defenders. Christ he's only got to do it for 60-75 mins then we bring on young/fresh/keen Robinson or headless chicken Weimann to run at them.

As for the rest it pretty much picks itself I'd love to "experiment" with a Tonev, Helenius, Robinson, Albrighton combo but this isnt the match for it. We need heads down, maximum commitment, 3 points and a collective sigh of relief.

Then Sid can put out a mad formation against city and spuds and have some fun.

Not going to City (too much, too far and a probable cricket score) but would like, for once, to enjoy a day out in London (football related, lets keep it clean) so have got tickets for Spurs.

Also my last home game as an STH so would be nice to have a fond(ish) memory.
