I saw Resorts World when I went to a concert at the NEC a few months ago. Is there free parking or do you have to pay the NEC parking fees?

You have to pay to park.

So it's more Bull Ring than Star City then. I'd be tempted to go there for a meal and IMAX...got to be better than going up Broad St. Might be good for some retail therapy too.

I found it a bit bland and soulless but yes it's better than Broad St, but so is staying home and sticking hot pins in your testicles.

Yeah I also avoid Broad St like the plague but there is an IMAX at the top end.

Long term the plan is for it to be an entertainment complex with a bicester like outlet centre.  I haven't actually been yet because I was waiting to see what happened with the shops but it's a good idea and the location is perfect in concept.  Adding the bars, cinema, casino and hotel was, in my opinion, the qucik win the developers wanted whilst it becomes established as a retail centre.

Not sure what the future plans are but the general retail tone already is 'outlet' shops, they are just a bit low rent.

Bicester has gone decidedly up-market the last year or two. It was always up-market but it is very much more so these days.

The list of retailers at RW just looks really downmarket.

Bicester is quite the opposite of up market nowadays.

You're kidding? Have you been there recently? In terms of the retailers there, it's about as up-market as it gets.

No, I was planning a trip up there a few months ago - I had done prison visits up that way so had dropped in on the way home before - but the reviews were awful saying that the shops looked good but there were no bargains and you could get better elsewhere. Also slated the shops for becoming rundown. So i thought I'd leave it alone.

Paulie's right about Bicester but I doubt you get many bargains there.  I was there a couple of months ago and I wouldn't say the shops were run down at all, if anything the opposite.  There's lots of Londoners and tourists there though who probably are getting bargains compared to London prices?

The Chinese love it there because they can buy without VAT at the tills, so don'd have to mess around at the airports etc to claim it back.

You would think Robin Li had been one of the people looking at us before our takeover.
