Taint how much they have got,  it's how much they are prepared to spend.

Are we happy or nervous about out Tone going a bit quiet ATM?
No board announced as yet (on web site at least) and the press have gone quiet on us

Although last year was painful we often featured in the national press - now its almost like we don't exist  :-[

that's because we are no long part of the Premier League, anything below that doesn't get a mention

Agree. The PL is where it matters and once the noise subsided of last season and ultimately relegation we stopped being a national news story, but for the blip of our takeover and manager appointment. And I think the new owner is doing what he has to behind the scenes with his appointments, pursuit of new players and ultimately staying out of the way while the rest of the club is put back together. I'm sure we will hear from him again during the summer and season. I doubt anyone can be as invisible as Randy was and certainly became in the end.

Wolves rumored to have  been taken over by Robin Li , founder of Baidu worth 10.5 bil ...

Could make the season more difficult for us if other clubs are coming into money

Am I a bad Villa fan for thinking "good for them"?

I always had a bit of a soft spot for the dog heads.

I saw Resorts World when I went to a concert at the NEC a few months ago. Is there free parking or do you have to pay the NEC parking fees?

You have to pay to park.

You do get your parking for free if you go to the cinema or spend more than £20 in a restaurant I think.

You could always park in the layby behind Melbix and walk there 😉

Not too sure how much that matters at the moment.

Very early days yet. Lots of work still to do. I am still suspicious of the new owners - a default position, until proven otherwise, but the takeover has only very recently gone through, and RDM has only had a couple of days to look at what he's got.

I think the fanbase needs to hold its nerve at the moment. It would be very easy to start losing our shit but I think ultimately people need to remember a squad ill equipped for the Prem is not necesserily ill equipped for the championship. We are where id expect us to be about now, im only a little surprised we havent heard a bit more about outgoings. Leaving the club i was expecting Lescott, Bacuna, NZogbia, Richardson, Agbonlahor, Gueye, Ayew, Richards, Guzan, Cissokho, Sanchez along with a few more fringe players. So far has been Richardson, NZog, That spanish lad and a few youngsters, very little in recouped funds.

To be honest I think too many changes will be counter productive. I don't buy into this "Championship grade players" as that is their level. Although most of our lot last year were shit I think most would agree they were not anywhere near the level their actual ability warranted. I put it down to bad apples, poor managers and coaching and an apathy that had set in throughout the whole club.

Give them the benefit of some discipline, method of playing and proper coaching with modern ideas and the nucleus of our squad should not only get us back but also ensure some continuity when we get there.

Pull the bad ones and add with a few new faces and I think we will do well

I agree, 6-7 players in this window is the absolute most we should be going for.  Then 1-2 more in January (if we're clearly going up they can be 'for next season' signings, otherwise a couple of players to give us an extra push) and repeat like that for 2-3 years.
