So it seems we are now a tiny subsidiary of a global health and leisure corporation, who are essentially owned by the Chinese government ().

I think the best scenario for us is the Man City model where the club is used as a vehicle to promote and extend the reach of a rich but relatively unknown commercial entity/sovereign state and thus the normal business rules won't apply I.e. Profit, for the first few years at least. Also maybe leading huge investment in brum from China, again a la Manchester and Abu Dhabi.

 I just hope we're not going to be 'flipped', bought cheap, get promoted and quickly sold. I hope these guys have a long term plan, deep pockets and strong heads.

As far as flipping goes, no one wanted to buy us for £150M when we were in the PL...

There's a new TV deal next season. If we got promoted I would imagine we would be worth £200m

If you read the club statement the Recon Group own several publicly listed Companies in China and Hong Kong plus numerous private companies in China and worldwide employing thousands of workers. I think in wealth terms that equates to billions....

That's the entire group. Villa are, ostensibly, part of the leisure and tourism wing - which seems to me like the club is part of a portfolio.
