We all know that Lambert and Faulkner are off to New York this week to see Randy. Randy owns a restaurant there and it's closed on Friday for a 'private dinner reception'.
Now you don't close a whole restaurant just to treat a couple of employees to a meal. Or do you?

I'm sure that any talking would be done in the privacy of his home just down the road.

For me, there's two possible reasons for this meeting:

1) To meet the new owners

2) To discuss plans during the transition period Lerner mentioned in his farewell address

If it's 2) then Lambert will naturally be concerned about what scope he has to refresh the squad.

Short but impressive wine list - let's hope his guests appreciate fine wine.

If that's the case, then here's hoping it's a short transition period.

Looks like something that could result in inertia if it dragged on too long.

Things really are not going to turn out like we had been led to believe by ITKers out there!

You sure, looked a bit light on New World to me and very French with the odd Italian thrown in. Very disappointed with the sparkling as well.

Typical Lerner really, respecting the ancient but not really up to date with the modern.

Keith Harris on 5Live this morning sounding very cagey about the Villa but happy to chat about Ken Bates 10 years ago - only to be expected i suppose.

What did Orville have to say?

I wish he'd warm his hand up

Would you trust a man who has made a living sticking his hand up a duck's arse?

He's a dirty bastard, Ken Bates

That's the danger but other than giving it away there is not that much that the club do other than advertise the fact that is for sale.
