I hope there's no truth to this:

Looks like there "might" have been an altercation between the players in the tunnel at FT. #AVFC

Not such a bad thing. Prefer them to be having a go at each other than just accepting this shite

Without being brilliant we were the better team until Westwood went off, even then they weren't really hurting us. The problem is that Benteke is a shadow of the player he was last season so too often it petered out on the edge of the box. Typical of us this season to concede a soft goal at the death.

The problem is benteke, Weimann, gabby , Lowton, sylla, are all shadows of what they were last season and we are carrying too many passengers.

So Mr Lambert could'nt see a goal coming for either side. I find that amazing as most of us knew it would happen ,we are pretty good at conceding goals in stoppage time

I nearly kicked the telly in when I saw Bennett coming on. He really is an utter waste of space.

Spends more time on his hair than his passing

I wonder if Vlaar is referring to this when he says he can't say anything more at the moment.

So 1 point from West Ham, Cardiff and Newcastle and no goals. It's hardly inspiring stuff and we are 100% certainly in a relegation battle again. Pathetic.

It's not all bad. I watched the match with a Newcastle mate of mine who was desperately worried where their next three points were coming from. I did my best to allay his fears, assuring him that despite any worrying bluff and bluster we'd eventually be the instigators of our own downfall and I was right. Yay me! He was well chuffed.

Today is the day I've gone from feeling we're safe and better than at least 3 sides, to thinking we're in the dog fight. It's a worry.

Norwich has become a massive match now. Which is shit.
We'll beat them.

What evidence do you base this on Tom?

It looks like we are approaching high tide and the happy clappers are being washed in.

Yawn. So if I say I do t think we're doomed, things might turn round and I don't think we should sack the manager I'm dismissed as a 'happy-clapper,' but if I disagree with you it means I will use buzzwords, say you're hysterical etc? I have done none of the above - we're allowed different opinions.

The only positive I can think of is that football can change in a split second.

Yup, we'll be down before you know it.

That's madness - why the hell is he involved in 21 aeriel duels? That's way too many.

That's why I thought but WhoScored say 21.

It could be a mistake on their part, I guess.

I was more alarmed at the large number than sceptical of it. You expect him to get involved in a few whatever the game, in defensive situations and the odd one at their end for whatever reason, but 21 won? Out of how many? It's shocking.

Wasn't sure if you meant that originally, but yeah, I don't think any of us want to see Benteke winning 21 headers in a game. Unless they're goals, of course!!!

Lambert lacked courage today.
It was obvious - even with my dodgy internet connection - that Benteke was not 'on it'. He was outshone in the air and was sluggish on the ground even when the ball was at his feet; and he offered no movement and did little closing down.
A brave manager would have subbed him and pushed Gabby on centrally. With Albie on alongside Gabby and Weimann - both of whom at least showed some desire to chase and close down - I think we might have got something from an otherwise inept attacking display.

However, once the initial balance in midfield changed, you know that a team bringing on Sylla and Bennett as subbs is going to struggle.
The quality just ain't there.
The irony is that Baker and Vlaar had actually had a reasonable game; just some madness in the final 10 minutes.

Anyone going to continue to defend our idiot of a manager?

Anyone going to continue to defend our idiot of a manager?
That will come later, along with accusations of hysteria and bed-wetting.

Along with Secret Squirrel "I know something you don't" type posts.

You won't be getting any more of those from me. Look at any ITK on here. Most of it is slagged off anyway.

I will not be renewing my season ticket next season. This game has sealed it for me not to renew.
If you bottle it that easily, you may as well go now.

Bottling it easy after three years of misery? Be fair!
