Jumbo were definitely everything I had hoped Ineos would be. Though with that said there have been times before when Tadej would put the hammer down on his own and nobody could live with him. To see him on the climb with a support rider and not able to drop Vingegaard was tough to watch. That takes nothing away from JV as he is an awesome rider too.

Feel sorry for Froomey after all he has been through of late and now doesn't even get to finish.

Would have been great to see WvA contest the sprint today, but I guess he didn’t feel that he had it in home after the Time Trial.

Still, that did allow the five remaining Jumbos to roll over together, emphasising the team work involved in the race

Well that's Le Tour for another year and what a great one it was. Hats off to (saved typing) Vingo, Pog and WvA all three were brilliant.  Special mention to G, the best of the rest by some distance and Fred Wright who loved to get in a break.
Still IMO the greatest sporting event in the world.

Also a mention to Pidcock, won’t be GC contender but a brilliant ride and win up D’Huez but also a tremendous descent from the climb before that.

Any idea what the plan is for Pidcock and Ineos. I think he could be a GC contender, what am I missing?

Think you’ll find he likes the mountain biking as much as the road racing….sure ineos will have him as GC at a few stage races before launching him at a grand tour lead role

Pidcock in most major world tour races will be competing with WvA and Van der Poel.  He might want to consider a GC role at some stage in the future to not having to compete with them.

It was mentioned during the TdF that Pidcock’s team will continue to allow him to compete in mountain biking and cyclocross.

It’ll be interesting to see whether his performance over the past few weeks leads him to concentrate on the road.

I already have a Siroko jersey...the one featured at the top of their website...and I've just ordered the one you picked out BV! Thanks for that! Birthday gift request sorted!

No worries, hopefully looks the part on you. As mentioned before, I'm not a cyclist myself but this looks a bit of a snip should anyone be so inclined. https://www.siroko.com/p/m2-siena-long-sleeve-cycling-jersey-men?

Zoe Bäckstedt decimated the rest of the TT youth field to hold her fourth Junior World Title in cycling disciplines this year. (Although she could lose out on the road race one later on this week).

Zoe won the Road Race for the second year in the row. Left everyone else trailing behind her. Brilliant 18th Birthday for her.

And in the seniors Van Vleutan won it even though she was riding with a fractured elbow from a crash on the TT relay earlier on in the week.
