Arguably the finest training facilities in the country, and this is the result of all that lavish expense. A team with no composure, no quality and no guts. Even this team are better than this. Lambert, sort it out or do the right thing, admit you're out of your depth, and walk.

Wishful thinking maz , sadly he is entrenched here .

Our is one of the worst if not the worst in the league, it just offers fuck all. Delph can be good individually, but as a unit they are terrible.

We all hope the experiment would succeed but the sad fact is that right now we've got far too many players who aren't good enough to pull on the claret and blue of Villa. In fact a lot aren't good enough to put on the claret and blue of Burnley. Some of these players are just incredibly poor. In addition we've got a manager who just isn't and never, ever, will be Villa level. The only way Lambert and some of these players will ever be good enough for Villa is if we become a Championship club, which would appear to be Lerners Baldrickesque, cunning plan.

Reminds me of The Blackadder quote when he asks Captain Plum

'Crew M'lord. What crew?'

Lambert being Tom Baker character and us lot being the Blackadder.

I'm a Westwood fan but he's been very poor again this match. Not that he's helped out at all in any way by our Stone Age tactics and set-up.

Oh please! He plays like this every single game! He's an appalling footballer who is out of his depth in the PL.

I disagree. I'm sorry every time someone disagrees with you that you vent forth some Ohing and Ahing ejaculation like a swooning Dame in a Regency novel.

Keep on deluding yourself mate. You've been doing it since Lambert took over.

Both of you wind it in right now.

El Ahmadi for Bennett is the change he needs to make. Revert to 4-3-3. I just hope he doesn't wait until we're 1-0 down to do it.

Take off Bennett and bring on KEA. At the very least he's a midfielder.

I'm struggling to understand why we are so poor tonight.
We know we can't break down teams who park the bus, like West Ham on Saturday, but Cardiff are coming onto us, leaving space and gaps all over the place.
But we can't/ don't know how to exploit that.
I think it boils down to the fact that we just do not have any quality in the team.
Yes, there is effort but there is a massive void when it comes to quality.

If you're suggesting that Monty is somehow overly pro-Lambert, you clearly don't read what he writes.

I often imagine Lamberts pre match tactics talks being something akin to General Melchet.

There is 0 chance that Lerner is sitting in his bunker somewhere watching this shit week after week and thinking ''Gee, I see where this is going, this guy needs a damn payrise''.

Not a prayer. Currently discussing pay rise.

Fucking pathetic management, that.

I honestly would like the whole lot of them to fuck off. What a bunch of amateurs.

Agreed. Which is why the only hope I now see for Aston Villa is a takeover. It doesn't matter how much money will be made available again, it won't be used intelligently or effectively.

I don't know. Every time I get some excitement and belief about a game this happens.

I'm not sure I'd agree with your assessment of KEA there mate! ;)
