I imagine it will be strange for the long-serving stalwarts like Dave, Percy (and Mac, wherever he is these days) to have their match ritual completely changed forever but I'm sure it will also mean life being a bit less of a pain in the arse.
 
Maybe it's a good opportunity to digitise the back-issues or some sort of project where old and new can be found easily in one place. Not sure how prohibitive the cost and time would be on that but it would help maintain the legend of selling H&V for twenty five years and counting.

Boooo! Being a boring old fart I like the physical medium of paper rather than electronic versions of reading material. Could never read a book on Kindle or similar - just doesn't feel right. And, as others have said, the shouts of 'Heroes & Villains The Villa Fanzine Brand New Issue' will be missed on match days. End of an era but sign of the times

I'm gutted to be honest, it's part of the matchday experience for me and I enjoy reading the paper version. I'll certainly be sad to see it go.

As an aside I'm even more determined now to get editions 99 and 127 to complete my collection so if anyone has either...

I have loads in my collection from the start in the shed - I will have a look for you tonight.

For other people who have kindly helped my try to complete the set I have donated a few quid to Acorns during my next visit to VP on their behalf, I'd be happy to do the same for your good self :-)

Shame - I always look forward to reading it on the train on the way home but, as PL would say, we go again and I'm sure I'll enjoy the digital version.

The paper version of H&V has been a great Villa institution. Thanks to Dave and all the writers and sellers over the past quarter of a century.

Really sad to see the paper version of H & V ending. Kept me smiling and entertained when the match didn't!!

Match days won't be the same. It will be like having fish and chips out of a polystyrene container; rather than an old newspaper.

I'm also absolutely distraught.....for me the paper version every time.......

Wish i had kept all my copies now instead of giving them away a few weeks ago as undoubtedly these will all become collectors items and as valuable as

 the painting i have at home on my wall,the original
