Last six games form

Hull 6 pts
Qpr 5
Sunderland 5
Everton 4
Newcastle 4
Villa 3

Not scored in 5 of them

Were going to be sucked in .

1 point above Albion whose new manager reckons he has a battle on his hands to keep them up (I realise all new managers say it's worse than I thought). Our lot don't seem to want to consider the possibility. I was one who pleaded for us to get Pulis in to save us from what seems inevitable with Lambert. I expect to be very upset come May that we didn't.

That's right - every result made it crystal clear Blackburn were heading for oblivion, but their owners didn't seem to care. I even started to feel sorry for Kean. I don't think that'll be the case with Lambert.

We've already said ‘Goodbye’.
Since you've got to go
Oh you had better go now.
Go now. Go now. Go now
Before you see me cry.
I don't want you to tell us
Just what you intend to do now.
'Cause how many times do we have to tell you
Lambert, Lambert
We're not in love
With you now?

We've already said ‘So long’
We want to see you go.
Oh you had better go now.

Go now. Go now. Go now
Don't you even try telling us
That you don't want it to end this way
'Cause, Lambert,  Lambert,
Can't you see we don't want you to stay?

We've already said ‘Goodbye’.
Since you've got to go
Oh you had better go now.

Go now. Go now. Go now
Before you see me cry.
I don't want you to tell us
Just what you intend to do now.
'Cause how many times do we have to tell you
Lambert, Lambert,
We're not still in love,
Still in love,
With you now?

Apologies to The Moody Blues.

and Bessie Banks who did the original.

Frank Rijkaard

He'd be my choice. Champions League winning manager, and currently available and keen to get back into management. He's already been linked with a return to Barca though so it could be another one we miss out on by delaying.

He's clearly not going in spite of his 2 and half seasons of disaster at the club.

That's a bloody strong management pairing.
No way would they come here!
Unfortunately.

I think Lambert wants putting out of his misery but wont walk (who would anyway). Alienating himself even more with the fans - who picks at fight with the fan base? Is an act of suicide.

I think the end is nigh

Saturday against Liverpool could be his Bolton, the tide of opinion is now tsunami and if that lot canter to their easiest away win of the season the fans will turn nasty,I hope I'm wrong of cause ,not least because I hate them and all their plastic fans but I fear the worst.

I don't think it will happen on Saturday unless they go 3 or 4 up.  If we lose by the odd goal and put up a bit of a fight there'll be too many half and halfers in the crowd for it to get too nasty.

There may be a Bolton moment for the fans, but I can't see him being sacked. Safe as houses is our Paul.

All the signs are that he's staying, so I imagine that'll take some of the venom out of the atmosphere (if his position looked under threat I think the crowd would smell blood and go for him Bolton style).

If he goes now, this week, who do you want in?  Realistic & available.

Cesare Prandelli

Realistic & available.

What's not realistic about going for an out of work self confessed Villa fan?
