Nigel Pearson appears to be going into meltdown mode aswell which helps for Sunday after his comments about critical fans and telling them they can stay at home.

I too think it is a game we should and will win, but I think we should help the cause by holding fire on the doom talk round them, just don't want to jinx anything :-X

I've enjoyed the playing style

This needs repeating time and again.

You have actually "enjoyed" Paul  Lambert's playing style??

Look. I'm all for people having their own opinions and at no time have I jumped in to slag you off for your all encompassing love of Paul, and I can see where you are coming from vis-a-vis our injuries and getting the most out of a fairly poor squad.
But it really stretches the imagination to think that anyone has actually "enjoyed" our playing style over the past two seasons!

Yes that does seem very odd.

Most peculiar indeed.

What do you like about it?  I'm just asking because in Paul Lambert's first season I enjoyed the football very much at times, but from his second season, particularly from the home game against Newcastle early in his second season, it became to me fairly frantic and artless (not all the time - there were exceptions, like the home game against Chelsea last season).  But overall it seems the early promise and ambition that he showed has been lost.

We won't win Sunday. We never consolidate good results when the opportunity presents.

I think we will win and Paul will be nominated for a gong in the New Year's honours list. A quick call from Randy to Dave should sort it.

This is my fear. We have an unenviable ability to take 2 steps backwards having taken 1 forwards.
It would be a brilliant early Xmas present though if we could somehow win our next 2 .

There have been plenty of games where we've played really nice, fast-pased passing football, especially between the midfield three with Westwood, Delph, Cleverley, etc to be fair. It's the consistency that frustrates me, as well as that period where we played hoofball.

It would indeed, esp when you look at who we're playing - fellow strugglers, the crisp-munching bogey team and the ones who we all know what they are...

The problem is, the nice stuff comes in spells of ten minutes here and there. Nowhere near enough.

If you asked me what Lambert's style was after his first year, I'd have known the answer. But what is our actual style these days? it all looks to me like it is either made up on the night amongst the players, or is so complicated, they don't know what they are meant to be doing, so opt to just run around a lot to make up for it (which isn't a bad thing, I do think they are doing their best, I just think they usually look like they don't know what they're meant to be doing)

Be interesting to see the midfield for the leicester game, you'd expect us to set up a bit more attacking minded with perhaps Nzogbia or Grealish in for Westwood or Cleverly.
I'd leave Sanchez as the centre mid player as he has prescense and is getting better and fitter by the game.

Can't recall Lambert ever dropping Westwood, he loves him for some reason. He won't drop Cleverley either, he wants to sign him after all. I think it'll be the same team that started vs Palace except Sanchez will be in for Cole.

Because he's been one of our most consistent players for a good few years now and he plays a crucial part in the game.
