It's peoples obsession with history that is clouding their perception of realism .

As you well know, our club perhaps more than most, is entitled to be a bit obsessed with history.

Anyway, like you I am really happy with the result and give credit to Lambert. I really want to see us play better though. Although it was refreshing to see the possession stats go up we had to resort to some heroic defending/keeping there.

I will happily celebrate with you! very happy with the result. Hopefully it gives the team and manager more confidence for the next game.

I have not appeared from a cloud of smoke. I've supported Lambert on here and in my upper holte section from day one, I.was at Bradford away, millwall and many other shocking days. It hasn't been pretty but I've seen enough.from him, it more to the point, lack of his.best.side to have faith. My opinion.

Totally respect that Westley. I have been a fair weather fan of his :) I still hold out the hope he can change our playing style again and we will start to click. Fingers crossed.

I've enjoyed the playing style, with regards to punctuation, I've got a new phone and i'm not getting used to predictive text.

The little scamp in me does like to guess who's using a phone from the predictive errors.

Westy. You don't need to tell us where you sit or where you've been. Just try telling us why you like Lambert. It's not hard to do.

I've enjoyed the playing style ...
Wow.
Actually, the first half at Burnley was far more enjoyable than I expected, apart from the woeful finishing and absence of killer instinct. The second half was much more representative of the Lambert era and it was frustrating and depressing.
I didn't see the game last night but it sounds somewhat similar, without the penalty.

I can't imagine how you can say that the playing style is enjoyable, but each to their own I suppose.

Fact is though we're in mid table which is plain sailing as far as Lerner is concerned. Lambert's going nowhere.

Will we be there at Christmas is the main thing though.  Have always said that Christmas should be the time to judge Lambert, and Learner should be thinking the same.
