Yes great result.

Shite tactics again though and this time we didn't get punished for them.

Roll on Sunday and Sandwell away.

Benteke bails Lambert out again. Nothing's changed though, the win wasn't down to any tactical masterstroke but by an individual piece of brilliance. And Guzan chucking himself at everything. Great to see a goal and a win though.

Your half right  (for once).

I'm delighted we won. I'm angry we still have to put up with this useless  manager.

The thing is I'm sure everyone is delighted we won. However it doesn't distract from the fact that it was individual brilliance that won us the game. We haven't actually addressed the issues that have had us getting poor results for weeks.

Signed by Paul, his record signing. Steve Stone cost almost as much.

Could you imagine if we had held on v soton and burnley......without benteke, vlaar, Delph and kozak.  This site would implode.

I'm not disputing he was a great signing and credit to Lambert for that. However it doesn't change the fact that in the second half we were desperately clinging on and making all the same mistakes we made previously, which led to us throwing away opportunities to win.

Indeed I do. I am also keenly aware of your complete lack of a sense of humour which I hoped to play on in my reply. Successfully it seems.

But it's now boring Joe, it's been mentioned by many, and as a moderator I assumed you were savvy to this. Seems I underestimated this.

Had we Delph , vlaar, benteke, kozak in these games we would have won.

I must have missed our 100% win record when those players play.

.. add Senderos to that too.

However, win the next 2 games and I still want this mind-numbing record breaker to have his P45. Good result last night for a change, but performance was as expected and we played our get out of jail card by actually not conceding (due to Clark,Okore and Hutton) as per usual.
