I thought the guy came from the crowd to celebrate with Lambert who entered into the spirit of it and then ushered him back to his seat as did a steward.

At 0-2 I was hoping we could get back into it second half like the last time. Never thought we would turn it around so quickly. So eleven previous home games bought us just 8 goals then we get 4 in 62 minutes. Last couple of games are more like the back end of last year, we look like we can score again. Bertrand is clearly a class above what we previously had, good defending and some excellent passes down the line.

Mark Clattenberg had a very good game last night. Every time their was an incident he was right on top of it. I was impressed.

Very good performance from the ref. Let things flow but didn't allow the Baggies to take advantage of their physical superiority in many areas. It actually made our light weight midfield have to get involved in an old fashioned scrap - which for much of the first half when we came back from 0-2 they did. Hopefully It will have done a lot to toughen them up a bit.

The Baggies look like a good championship side - able to worry a premiership team by going at it and trying to get a shock result - but inevitably their lack of skill and pace told.

We still lack experience in many areas, are a bit too light weight in others but we are superior to teams like the Tesco Baggies. Given time we will be OK, not so sure about them.

Does Olsson ever stop complaining to the Ref ?

Loved it when Clattenburg took his time to fill in his yellow card and made Guzan wait to take goal kick, when Olsson was moaning about time wasting. Ref had a very good game.

Said to my 10 year old lad on the way out - ' Son, For every Sheff Utd game, there's a losing 2-0 to that lot and coming back and winning 4-3. It's why we come down - it's the Villa - it's why we love 'em ''

Also, I can't seem to get the sound of the 'Laughing Policeman' out of my head - it's a good day.

Tremendous goal from Delph.  Very similiar to one scored by the mighty Rioch against Man City, unfortunately that was when he was with Derby, but I can pay Delph no higher compliment.

There was some Albion loser who sounded as though he had been mainlining Helium on WM this morning trying to claim some sort of moral victory, just for a change, because they had more possession and they scored more nice looking goals than we did.

And in his post-match interview with Lambert last night Pat Murphy was trying to make out that Benteke had gone down "too easily for a big man" for the penalty. What a tosser. That lunatic Lugano, a walking liability if ever there was one, looked like he was trying to wrench Benteke's head off!!

That may well be Helium Lee who rings up and complains even if they've won and he never goes.

I didn't think Pat Murphy was interested in interviewing Lambert unless we lost. One of his openly hostile interviews earlier in the season was the most disrespectful towards the manager I have heard since SGT's England days.

I don't think it was him. There must be an off licence in Smethwick which only sells Helium.

He is another Ridgewell, will cost you at the back but will also score goals. Lucky for us he missed the header at the back post in the second half.
