I missed the first few minutes, what did El Ahmadi get booked for? I find it a bit weird as this ref has let a lot go for both sides.
Jumped in to Wilshere and flattened him.  Probably deserved it.  KEA I mean; Wilshere definitely deserved it.

The atmosphere is just surreal. I cant believe how poor we are and how poor we are at home.

Luckily I'm watching the game at work now rather than with my Gooner mate which I had previously planned.

Someone please try and convince me that this isn't worse than under McLeish. Because I'm bloody struggling. Absolutely staggered Lambert isn't under unbearable pressure.

Don't worry,  faulkner thinks we have made real progress this season .
I'm surprised to hear such negativity on here as many were saying we were safe in 11th and that Spam and Sunderland were worse than us and  PL was flavour of the month 2 weeks ago.

I certainly wasn't.

Half time. We were doing OK until two mistakes cost us dear and it was calamitous for a good few minutes after that. I actually think we've been passing it better tonight at times.

El Ahmadi had been absent, Luna too. Lowton looks so much better going forward. Delph is getting visibly frustrated.

We have to go for it now. Why not give Helenius a try? Or switch Gabby out wide so that we have an out ball, and play Wiemann and Benteke through the middle.

But no, we will probably just whimper and die without any tangible change in formation or tactics.

Could we be the dullest team in the league....in all of the UK?

Meh, just not enough effort. They've got to give us more than that. At least give it a bloody go.

I can accept us being down to arsenal at home.  I can't accept a complete lack of fight and cohesion into the bargain.

Arsenal are, as usual, by far the best team in the league. It's so easy when you watch them play. I'd love our players to have Wenger train them for a month.

Could be any number of goals to nil if Arsenal want to.

When we have the ball in their half we only lose it, can't pass, can't beat a player and going to get hit on the break in the second half for another 2 or 3 goals.

The Gooners don't have to worry, they know we aren't going to score.

ambert just doesn't have a clue what to do.

We all have plenty to say about Villa, me as much as the next fan but the bare unvarnished truth which stares us in the face game after game is that our players are not good enough and our manager is not good enough.

Thing is, Arsenal are really good; there's no shame in being two-nil down against them.

But to be so utterly negative, guileless and scared of them, at home, is really dreadful.

When we do not have the ball we are casual, lazy, disorganised and clueless.  Too many players hiding.  You defend from the front and the midfield are not allowing the two forwards to press as there is too much of a gap between the midfield and the forwards.
