Is bite your hand off at 2-0

This villa side does look worryingly poor. It's like how I imagine our youth team would look playing a premier league side. Just less good in any way conceivable

At least we've only got Liverpool next.

Even though I knew we'd lose, it's still really disappointing to see the same mistakes time and time and time again.

From BBC Sport:

"Christian Benteke is a ghost of the man who terrorised the Premier League this time last year. As he fails to control a ball into him he just watches it bounce away and doesn't even chase it. What has gone wrong?"

What indeed.
[/

It's based on nothing more than gut feeling, and it's probably too easy a thing to say, but none-the-less I simply think he doesn't want to be at the club, really.

Bit of service to him, might help

The lack of any real hope, in this game and the future, is the real killer

this game has gone how all of us feared it would. In every aspect. We haven't pressed, we haven't kept possession and we made stupid individual errors. We did that against Sheff Utd and lost and now we are repeating that tried and trusted formula against Arsenal. Genius

He could start to bring his team mates into the game by keeping hold of the football for more than 3 seconds.

Do I not like all these crossfield balls we play, especially right across the back line.

I'm loathed to criticize Benteke overly because he's not exactly getting an abundance of service but he needs to work harder and defend from the front too. He's to passive at the moment.

Someone please try and convince me that this isn't worse than under McLeish. Because I'm bloody struggling. Absolutely staggered Lambert isn't under unbearable pressure.

That was pitiful.  Absolutely pitiful.  Ended up with three Arsenal players round him and no Villa player within 30 yards.
