I'm loathed to criticize Benteke overly because he's not exactly getting an abundance of service but he needs to work harder and defend from the front too. He's to passive at the moment.
The thing is that last season he was creating goals for himself out of nothing.

Well what to do with our meagre resources?  Benteke off.  Gabby down the middle, extra midfielder is all I can think of.

The constant chopping and changing of formations doesn't contribute to our coherence. The players don't seem to know their roles or where their team mates will be

Someone please try and convince me that this isn't worse than under McLeish. Because I'm bloody struggling. Absolutely staggered Lambert isn't under unbearable pressure.

Don't worry,  faulkner thinks we have made real progress this season .

This is worse than McLeish, without a doubt, McLeish had a plan, draw at all costs, this bloke hasn't the imagination to come up with a plan.

Fucking hell anyone going to help Delph?
That was pitiful.  Absolutely pitiful.  Ended up with three Arsenal players round him and no Villa player within 30 yards.

It's things like that annoy me more than anything else.

That's the one.   It was truly our first big tonking of the eighties if I recall.

I wish I could but I can't, we're absolutely awful.  I think even the djembe twins would shine in this team.

Half-time report: Utterly clueless. As usual. One fears our shiny new arsehole is only half-torn.

Well that was dire and just completely unprofessional to concede two goals in a minute again.

I feel the last drops of good will towards Lambert might be exiting the glass
