Mr. Woodhall.

Still Mr? We need to get a petition sorted in time for the next New Year's honours.

Going back to the first game of the season against Arsenal, I thought the way we played we could beat anybody which is ideal for the FA Cup. I'm convinced this is our year despite the team playing shite, on the positive side, we can only improve. Tomorrow is the start of our glorious cup run so it's pretty easy to predict a win.

3-0 Villa.

With respect David it is a business for messrs Lerner and Lambert and the latter has behaved unprofessionally whether by business or football standards.   AnywAy back to the football and a 3-0 win for Villa!

No he hasnt, and the one thing you could never accuse Randy of is treating it like a normal business, which leads back to what I said earlier.
Randy made his money from lending money so I  would suggest that he is a hard  bottom line operator. If he treated Villa like a normal business he would have sold us to asset strippers about 48 months ago.

I have voted a Villa win. I'm wondering what a bloody reply is? I hope it's not more long term injuries enforced on our thread bear squad.

Correct - any reason why you used 48 months and not 4 years?

Asset strippers who could sell the naming rights to the ground, sell the ground in fact and pile £10's millions debt onto the club the way the Glazers did at no real risk to themselves.

How much money do you think the land the ground is on is worth? I'll venture not very much, given the amount of already empty waste land around Aston.

Asset strippers also wouldn't be selling naming rights to the ground, either. They'd be breaking the business up and flogging off the constituent parts at a profit - something which would be almost impossible to do if they'd bought Villa.

I never said I thought that Randy was a good business man when it game to Villa. If he wasnt prepared to invest this time last year as a fan one would have expected his business head to not want risk missing out on the big lift in Premier League money. Of course the fact we stayed up could be argued he is an excellent football business man.

Staying up and finishing 15th every year may well be an excellent business model for him but it certainly wont make me renew my season ticket. Do I want him to sell to the highest bidding Arab so we can do a City?  In a perfect world no but I am not sure I am ready to accept mediocrity.

The Assets of Aston Villa are worth more as a going concern with a place in the Premier League than any other scenario. So if Randy did want to cash out, this is how he would hope to leave the Club.
