We needed backup for Benteke and Kozak is that. We now need 2 wide players, Tom Ince style, to challenge Weiman and Gabby. We need those options.

I agree. More than the central forward, we need players to genuine challenge those two who can become quite ordinary when they are marked well. Benteke is different class and creates a lot of space for them to be more effective.

Whatever we do with the forwards wide and central, we need that creative player who can dictate the tempo, find space for himself and others, play the final pass and be a goal threat. We're conspicuously lacking that player today.

Today is showing that Lambert made a mistake in signing Kozak, or at least in signing Kozak in place of the mythical number 10. Benteke or no Benteke, we'd be more likely to win this game with a number 10 than with Kozak, I'm afraid to say. And I actually like Libor.

I think he bought Kozak for long term not expecting Benteke to be out. He's thrown in him before he's ready. I think coming in once in a while for Benteke was the plan.

a £7 million player , not ready ?

Why not? The price doesn't dictate whether a player should be ready or not. Spurs spent £30m on a forward this summer who doesn't start every game. I'm sure they hope long term Lamela will be worth every penny.
Toronto is positive energy in its purest form today.

I just can't be arsed to join in the player write off orgy after just a few games.

Another clean sheet would be the big bonus from today.  There, that's put the mockers on it nicely.

Hello mate!

How are things? Very well, hopefully!

I have just moved to Tokyo this last week. All is well, look forward to seeing you if you're out this way. I still believe Bowery will grab the winner!

Not falling asleep just yet..haha. But I was hoping we would kick on after the City game....still time..
I guess it's not too late just after midnight. Next time Tokyo is in March. Anyway whatever happens in the last ten minutes there is always Roppongi!

For sure and the fact that we looked at that Japanese lad in Germany suggests the manager might feel the same way. Maybe we just didn't find the specific player we wanted this summer.
