I just can't be arsed to join in the player write off orgy after just a few games.
The early signs haven't been particularly encouraging though, I'm sure you'd concede.  I'm struggling to figure out exactly what his forte is, or will be, to be honest.

he might be alright  if we played with width

In all honesty, despite loving Villa like everyone else, does anyone actually enjoy watching us? The football just isn't good enough. We have not tested the goalkeeper second half-that is poor.

So far in every game I've watched this season, which is all of them, I thought we played better last season.

I predicted a 0-0 draw but I never imagined it would be such a poor game. The editors at Match of the Day are going to struggle to put together two minutes of highlights.

Throw by their box, all the way back to the keeper!

I thought Lambert was moving us away from the 'get it out wide and then sling it into the box' style.

I'll take the 'solid' no-score draw.

Roy Hodgson won't be impressed on MOTD, unlucky Gab and Fab.

Me too. I think Bennett and Lowton have been unlucky not to feature more. Bacuna and Luna could play in midfield/somewhere further forward perhaps. We miss Benteke, of course
